I miss Gerard. Six months. Time marches on.

    • DT June 26, 2023, 3:51 PM

6 months sure flew by fast. I have no idea where May and June went …

    …of wrath.
And what a wrath it will be.

“The sun, with all the planets revolving around it, and depending on it, can still ripen a bunch of grapes as though it had nothing else in the universe to do.”

Not so if the sun is blocked by clouds. My family used to grow table grapes in Cali.

Ruth — how beautiful. Thank you.

Looks like a “melting pot” of grapes.

Yep. I see all the bad ones, and think: They harvest all those, the rotten ones with the good ones, plus the caterpillars and such, and mash them and sell them for grape juice and jelly and whatnot. In my case, 65 years ago or so, when I was 10, Aunt Penn gathered Muscadine grapes to make grape juice while I ran with the dog across the hot farm down in central Texas. There weren’t any rotten grapes in her container. And she loaded it up with sugar she could hardly afford. Grapes. We should all be stained purple.

    Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
    Evil minds that plot destruction
    Sorcerer of death’s construction
In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
    Death and hatred to Mankind
    Poisoning their brainwashed minds…
    Oh Lord yeah!

    From over at Denninger’s place:

    I know, you won’t read this if you’re even slightly-leftward because…. it’s Fox.

Louisiana environmentalists and locals are growing increasingly concerned about certain carbon capture projects supported by President Biden’s climate initiative, as nearby Black communities grapple with already elevated cancer risks from existing chemical plants.

The EPA was never intended to be able to regulate carbon in any form. CO2 is not a “pollutant”; it is plant food.

It is also the inevitable emission generated by every living animal on Earth. It thus cannot be a “pollutant.”

Carbon is also, I remind you, the entire basis of western society and our economy.

I don’t care if you like this or not; it is fact. Thermodynamics is not the “book of suggestions” and there is no alternative that works on a planet in which all life is carbon based and all energy transformed by said life ultimately traces to carbon.

We are all carbon-based life forms. So is the tree in your yard, your cat, dog, the mosquito that bites you, the bee that pollinates your flowers and the crops you rely on to live, and so on. By mass carbon is the second largest contributor to a plant or animal by mass; only oxygen is greater (and that, almost-exclusively, is due to water content.)

YOU ARE NOT A POLLUTANT AND NEITHER ARE THE THINGS YOU EAT.

I could be very comfortable in a home like that! They really managed the details.

The insanity is breath taking. The foolishness is straight out of a bad science fiction satire. Look at the No Dak facility. So they’re going to create mountains of dry ice, and store it underground to prevent climate change? How long are they going to store it there? What’s gonna happen when that stuff turns back into gas? (hint- it rhymes with room) Just wait until they find out that the Aztecs were right all along. Gaia won’t be happy with anything less than the still beating heart of a virgin. The gods frown on anesthesia. It’s gotta happen live on stage.
