I was talking to my 75 year old neighbor the other day when the subject of Dr. Fauci came up somehow.

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve entertained similar thoughts pertaining to a quick, merciful end to this mass insanity. Prior to the Wuhan “new-normal” (a term I hate beyond words), I had always enjoyed the 1956 sci-fi classic Invasion of the Body Snatchers, I never thought I’d be living it.
Being retired and happy to be ensconced in my bunker, I’ve been spared a considerable amount of everyday contact with people. Therefore, I’ve only been approached on several occasions (females, exclusively) by some pathetic busybody, admonishing me about wearing a mask. It was simple enough to merely ignore them.
Albert Einstein nailed it when he stated, “Three great forces rule the world: stupidity, fear and greed.” Well, we’ve certainly seen the first two in spades. Unfortunately, just as the poor will always be with us, so too, will the psychologically infirm. For many, perhaps most of them, these miserable past two years have given meaning to their empty, inconsequential lives. The plandemic has been their “Moon Shot”, or their “storming the beaches of Normandy.” Couple that with a bunch of would be tin-pot dictator government officials getting their inner Stalin on…well, I have little confidence the fear-driven will ever leave us Normals alone.

Funny, idn’t it, that the intellecto’s invent this thing called ADHD and suddenly everybody claims to have it, like it’s a status symbol or sumfink. Well duh. When I was a kid of the 50’s and 60’s I behaved like a little asshole at times too, but then my dad came home and took off his belt and I was back to normal lickety split.

Next time you see a person of any age acting like an errant child step right up and do your part for preserving the planet and it’s host. Reach right out and touch that child no matter it’s age in such a way that behaving bad will be the last thing on it’s mind. The sound of a stout leather belt being quickly yanked from the belt loop serves as a bomb shelter warning siren that you might be next. Duck and cover!

The store I used to shop at had the cops ticket two women for daring to go shopping maskless. The fibers irritate my damaged lungs and I can’t wear them. So two years of house arrest. I am glad that my husband died in January of 2020. I was able to be with him at the hospital and have a wake for him, before things were locked down. I can’t imagine how awful it’s been for the kids.
To mask, or not to mask–that is the question: Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffocate. Neath the slings and arrows of outrageous mandates. Or to take off masks against a sea of Karens. Here in Oklahoma City at a charter school where I taught, we had a cheerleader captain who was the leader of her pack. Of course every boy wanted to date her. She was a beautiful and smart young lady. When she saw a new student who was “special needs” she went into overdrive. The cheerleader made sure that the other child never ate alone and that she was invited to all the parties and dances and sleep-overs.
Jesus wept. I wept. I was surrounded by a greatness of soul in an 8th grade girl that I could never achieve.
There is something else. There is always something else. I get asked why God would put such on earth: the Down syndromed, the handicapped, the mentally challenged, the crippled, the blind, the deaf, the dumb. “If your God is so full of love, why would he create such beings? It seems your God hates them!”
Brothers and sisters, prepare yourselves for this: God indeed created them. He did so out of love. He loves them. If you doubt me, simply ask one of them. God made them the way they are for—us. Yes, for us. Without such deformed and crippled and deficient among us, we would relax into our usual comfort, arrogance, indifference and cruelty that we demonstrate everyday. They are here to bring us down to earth and to raise us to Heaven. By serving them we are serving God. Without them we would be Hell bound. They are here to guide us to Heaven.
Ok then, what of the crippled and the deaf and so on? Does not God care about their suffering? Yes. but He cares about their souls much more. These “special people” suffer in this world—obviously and of course. When they die, they are already Heaven bound. They suffer immensely on earth so that we could be saved for Eternity. They are Christ-like therefore.
Know this truth. They are here for you. Treat them as the special beings that they are. You will see them again, but in a way you could hardly imagine: full of life, healthy, vigorous, joyful.
Pray for them. For without them, you would be a monster.

Look, this thing where we scold a speaker who is insulting a “type” of “group,” be it a racial, genetic or social group, on the grounds that someone in that group is ‘belittled’ or, worse, ‘assaulted,’ is ridiculous. First, the person who is supposed to be “insulted” by whatever was said is usually not even in the room, and so could not have heard it in the first place. This hollow fallacy is captured by the old question: If a tree falls in the woods, but there is no one there to hear it, did it make a noise?
And, second, it’s laughable to because this Maternal reflex is also the basis for the Left’s virtue-signaling to its captive Groups on college campuses, urban alleys and media confines. If we are ever to de-fuse the Left’s propaganda and rabble-rousing bombs, we need to first be aware when WE are planting them.
If I may wander into the verge, the thing about Trisomy-21 (Downs Syndrome) is (1) the mothers of T-21 children are often complicit in their child’s ailment (the disease is tied closely with pregnancies in women over the age of 35) which at least partially explains the immediate emotional, compensatory “Reeeeeee!” defense of this very small subset of American society. And (2) the state’s own education and health machines practice eugenics on this cohort. They advise young Trisomy-21 adults to avoid copulating specifically because the syndrome is debilitating and transmissible. This amounts to de facto sterilization in the end. An atrocity to which the same Mothers, always to quick to defend them against insult, never mount a defense.
Together, these two seemingly disparate facts may explain the odd discourse that erupts when a light gets shined on this Congenital patient sub-group. A mother’s tendency to point loudly at the Wolf might distract from her own malpractice. And the State, caught in another one of its own hypocrisies, might relish the distraction.
That begins to dissect the discursive reflex, but more work is needed, I think.

We criticize the outrage, but not the despicable presentation which provoked the outrage, because it’s somehow inappropriate to be outraged merely because a certain “type” or “group” is being disparaged. Apparently certain “types” or “groups” are appropriate for targeted disdain, which leads one to think that these “types” or “groups” are less worthy of respect or compassion. I can understand this approach when that “type” or “group” is defined by attributes which are under their control, and are consciously adopted. But when that “type” or “group” is defined by circumstances outside their control, e.g. Down Syndrome,
then the disdain and mockery is purely hateful. Moldbug was spewing hate, and supporting him makes a person suspect.

Moldbug’s points are valid;he was not attacking Down’s kids. He was pointing out we are led by imbeciles who are blind drunk on the incredible power they now wield. Attacking him or those who agree with him is SOP for leftists to make us SHUT UP.
Back in the 80’s my husband worked as a clerk for one of the big grocery chains. There was a feel-good virtue-signaling push among top mgmt to hire the handicapped to bag groceries. Sandy was a Down’s young lady who liked to bag for my husband because he treated her gently and would joke with her. The Special Olympics came around and Sandy was a participant in the Jumping Jacks competition,and asked James if he would sponsor her at a dollar a jump. He readily agreed.
The Special day came ‘round,and when he came home from work,one look made me go “Uh-oh…”
He said “She did 140 jumping jacks! One hundred and forty jumping jacks! I had to pay $140 !!
I mean,good for her,but jeeez!”

And, second, it’s laughable to because this Maternal reflex is also the basis for the Left’s virtue-signaling to its captive Groups on college campuses, urban alleys and media confines. If we are ever to de-fuse the Left’s propaganda and rabble-rousing bombs, we need to first be aware when WE are planting them.
If I may wander into the verge, the thing about Trisomy-21 (Downs Syndrome) is (1) the mothers of T-21 children are often complicit in their child’s ailment (the disease is tied closely with pregnancies in women over the age of 35) which at least partially explains the immediate emotional, compensatory “Reeeeeee!” defense of this very small subset of American society. And (2) the state’s own education and health machines practice eugenics on this cohort. They advise young Trisomy-21 adults to avoid copulating specifically because the syndrome is debilitating and transmissible. This amounts to de facto sterilization in the end. An atrocity to which the same Mothers, always to quick to defend them against insult, never mount a defense.

Back in the 80’s my husband worked as a clerk for one of the big grocery chains. There was a feel-good virtue-signaling push among top mgmt to hire the handicapped to bag groceries. The truth of that statement is so large that many individuals cannot see it. They are so blinded by their altruism they have lost the ability to comprehend that they have been sucked into a state of secular humanism, rather than Christian morality and ethics. Their alleged altruism is dragging them into supporting evil, and they do not understand. And this is not just a problem with those who align with the Left. Many on the Right are complicit.
There’s altruism and there’s virtue signaling.
One is more common then the other and both are often confused for each other.
True, Ghostsniper, and I’ll add that today, a good many individuals clamoring to claim the mantel of altruism are practicing the second, and relatively unknown, definition of altruism.
