What happens if we keep saying the response to progressive politics is moving to a more reasonable place, politically. First of all, there are a lot of very nice places that will be lost to us. Places some of us were born and have lived in all our lives.

The children of great wealth only just have to show up in the classroom at whatever university they attend. Show up, make sure the professor knows who your mommy/daddy are and then doze off. The trouble with these children of wealth is that they do not have to really learn to think through anything. They never have to put their heads down and do the hard work of understanding complexity. They never truly become educated, literate, or acquire above average intelligence. The stuff needed to be a truly wise leader. Nope, they just hang those degree titles, behind their names and move on to whatever political, or NGO position they think looks like fun.
