There was only America, only one dream of America. No better or worse, no more or less real, than a thousand other dreams of America. It was a dream woven on the loom of the stars and the ocean that enmeshed that western city on seven hills which we watched at night from the green house on the flatlands across the bay. A thousand and one nights watching and telling tales which were, in the final analysis,only variations on a single theme of light reclaimed and held against the flooding dark for but a moment.

And then the distant guns coming closer, the clang of the brazen bells, the rising sirens, the chopping whir of helicopters, the boots falling in lockstep, the thud of nightsticks, the crackling orders on two-way radios, metallic clicks from the blue steel chambers, shotgun fire, the blood and the bodies and the screaming ….

We awoke in a metal dawn. The air tasted of rust. The smell of burning automobiles and tear gas was woven in the morning breeze and we slowly came to understand that the dreams were gone and only the nightmare was left.

The ideal citizen shuts up, pays his taxes, swallows worms, gender-transitions his children to be androgynous janissaries, blows off his legs in Afghanistan, worships immigrants and blacks with a cringe self-loathing, allows his STD-infected and SSRI-addicted wife to cuckold him in an open marriage and Trusts Experts more than he trusts God, his friends, or his own judgment. He eats shit without complaint. And then he asks for another meal. That’s their vision for our future.

Militant ideologues seem at first to benefit Woke institutions because the true believers act as enforcers of ideological conformity in the mold of commissars in the old Soviet Union. But soon this system of dual authority reveals its potential risks, because whereas in the Soviet system the twin lines of authority converged in a single figure controlling both Party and State, and were thus never ultimately in conflict, progressive Western institutions answer to regular management on the one hand, while the commissars report to a militant community outside the organiation, creating the possibility of hypergolic ignition.

To speak basic truths is criminal.

We frogs demand blonde, Ukrainian refugees with baseline of 32DD. We demand Japanese waifu with schoolgirl uniform, lithe waist, perky breasts, and long black hair. We demand Polynesian tomboy with dimples, plump breasts, and copper-brown tan. We demand sultry Colombian pageant queen with ruby-red lips, Castilian nose, almond-shaped eyes, and phat ass. We demand Nigerian track star with slender legs and phat ass of African gazelle, sculpted by sprints, marathons, and hundred daily squats. We demand buxom Jewish librarian with framed glasses, bimbo giggle, red hair, ivory-white skin, and puffy nipples.

Conquest of Harvard and Hollywood Young families would have children, and the government would provide liquidity for their home’s down payment. The husband’s income would earn enough money to provide for a house, two cars, and a family of six. His wife would teach their children at home, and perhaps tend a small garden. Chickens would scramble inside a fenced enclosure.

Women would adhere to strict dress codes, clothed in gorgeous, colorful styles of skirts and dresses. They would need approval from their father, husband, or brothers to deface their natural skin with garish tattoos. Journalists would be forced to fight Honor Duels against the citizens, politicians, and celebrities they defamed.

Criminals would be beaten and humiliated publicly. Severe criminals would be executed swiftly — not protected by a legal gauntlet of delays, appeals, mistrials, and procedural stalling. Our judicial process has become more convoluted than a Rube Goldberg Machine. There should be a limit of one appeal per trial, rather than this game of endless debates. Today, the death penalty costs around $2 million.

When the ex-men tell you they knew there was something different about them as a child, that they could sense that they weren’t like the other boys, what they are actually recalling is that they felt the other boys were their inferiors, that they were superior males with special capacities like the heroes of Heinlein sci-fi novels.

Why is the Modern World So Ugly? – We cannot blame poverty for the ugly world we have built. It used to be a reassuring assumption that money would eventually assure beauty for all. But modernity has taught us a darker lesson: that what ultimately makes for good architecture are sensible ideas and that we have built an ugly world out of stupidity, not lack of resources.

It’s a stupidity we pay very dearly for. A dumb book or song can be shelved and disturb no one. A dumb building will stand defacing the earth and upsetting all who must look at it for 300 years. Architecture is, on this basis alone, the most important of the arts, and (to enforce the problem further) the one we’re never taught anything about all the way through school.
