They have always been there. This is just “Tomorrow Belongs to Me” with the quiet part out loud. They thought it was safe now, but all it’ll really get them is an entry on the second-round proscription lists.
I remember reading about how sodomites were frequently burned alive in Churches, back in the old days. Supposedly, that created the use of the term “faggot”- a bundle of sticks used as kindling to start the fire.
