Is there clear water between my eyeballz and that sand?
    I see no reflections.
If not, how’d that sand get that way?
    Subterranean mole-worm tunnels?

But the Gazacaust is happening right now. The pointless sacrifice of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian lives on the altar of Clown World by the Kiev regime is happening right now. The foreign invasion of the United States has been happening right now. These are the events that will shape the future, not a shameless, outdated appeal to victimhood that somehow still dominates the political scene and dictates the laws in the USA, the UK, and the rest of Clown World.

Those look like wind ripples in the sand of Death Valley. How they form is not yet completely understood but once they start they tend towards symmetry like so many things in nature.
And speaking of sand, sometimes in these crazy times it’s good to take a pause, be an ostrich, bury your heads, block out the horrors and the holocausts, if only for an evening. And then say your prayers.
Thanks to Neo for this lovely photo.

Hello: DD is having a partial knee replacement this year. Do any of you know about this procedure, or the issues around knee replacement? Any info will be much appreciated!

    • azlibertarian February 23, 2024, 5:30 PM

I don’t know what a “partial” knee replacement is.

However, Mrs. azlib had her right knee replaced in late 2021. Here’s what I know, from my very anecdotal position of watching my sweetie go through this.
      * Knee replacements are **generally** more painful and the recovery takes longer than hip replacements.
      * The real answer is “It depends.” Everyone has different damage in the knee, different pain tolerance, different fitness levels, your doctor may use a different appliance, and the surgery or rehab may or may not develop complications. It is natural to ask the question that you’re asking, but it is really difficult to give you a good answer that you can rely on.

Mrs. azlib’s knee replacement was semi successful. For the first couple of weeks, she needed help out of bed for every daily need. Getting her dressed and in and out of the car for her 3x physical therapy was a real chore. Once she progressed to walking with a walker, and thereafter, she felt as though the top of her knee was encircled by a tight band and that there was a gritty sand-like sensation in the knee as she walked. After her first year, she had a second surgery to fix these problems which has helped.

Her 4x/week walks are now never more than 2 miles….pretty much pain-free, but if she pushes it more than that, she’ll feel it.

      Regardless, best of luck.

      • Anne February 23, 2024, 8:49 PM

Thank you Azlibertarian: that is very helpful in making plans as to how we can help!

    • SK February 24, 2024, 12:06 AM

Be sure you deal with a Very experienced orthopedic surgeon who is an MD.
The surgery can be life changing in a positive way but a lot depends on overall general health, especially weight, but also whether there are other issues- autoimmune disorders, diabetes, etc. to be considered as they affect the success rates and recovery time.

Has anyone found a liberal news media that posits a number count of illegal entries? Does any liberal media claim any estimate of the numbers? My inquiry is not about the numbers about why the media has refused to claim any numbers. Interesting to think about the silence on that don’t you think?

    • ghostsniper February 23, 2024, 6:38 PM

      Shirley thou doth jest?

      • Snakepit Kansas February 24, 2024, 5:35 AM

Plausible deniability. They do not want to know and how could they count anyway? My guess would be multiply the number of free Obama phones by 1.5 and that would be the number.

Black folks in large cities are starting to realize their vote has been taken for granted for years after they see illegals get all the free stuff. How much worse can inner city schools get when you flood them with illegals that cannot speak English? We are going to find out. Dumb everything down, pass every kid onto the next grade, what could go wrong? Stack poverty on top of poverty with just enough Gubmint benefits. Turning Chicago and New York City into Mogadishu and Tijuana.

A fascinating short video on world population. If proven true then we sure have been had.

    • Casey Klahn February 24, 2024, 11:30 AM

Joe – interesting stuff there. My own take on population is that there is plenty of space for the numbers – get out of the city and have a look. Now, if the numbers are a lie (and heaven knows we are getting lied to about everything) then that’s typical govt. BS for ya.

      • ghostsniper February 24, 2024, 1:10 PM

You’re right Casey and I’ve known it all along and so would anybody else if they just took a look at reality. And got the fuk out of the villes. The US for example is HUGE! The amount of vacant land vs the amount of occupied land has to be at least 10,000 to 1. That is, 10,000 square miles of vacant land to 1 square mile of occupied land.

But. I’m reminded of that old Babs Streisand song in the 60’s, “People, who need people”.
For reasons I cannot fathom, most people it seems want to live right on top of each other, and piss and moan and complain to and at each other.

Fed up with society and people in general, in 2002 my wife and I built a new home in an area that was miles away from the nearest person. No one had lived there since the 11th century. Home Sweet Solace. We lived there 1 peaceful year and then, in spite of hundreds of square miles of space available, some people bought the land catty corned to ours and started building a new home. The corner of their land was touching the corner of our land!!!!! Can you believe this shit???

We spent half a million to escape society and in 1 year society sought us out and found us. Talk about crest fallen. It took a couple more years to get our ducks in order and again we spent all we had to abandon our dream turned into a nightmare and move to an area of the country where we could have peace.

Then, after 15 years the same sort of thing is happening all over again with the people across the road that moved there from Calif. The husband, late 30’s, has single handedly turned our rural nirvana into a suburban hellscape. You don’t wanna know the thoughts I conjure in my mind about this. If you did know you’d have me arrested.

Most people it seems are not happy unless they are getting on each others nerves, and for people like my wife and I, that is just not acceptable.

        • DT February 24, 2024, 3:13 PM

“turned our rural nirvana into a suburban hellscape”
Pretty soon, they’ll start bitching that you don’t keep your property up to suburban standards in the name of decreasing their property value.

I’d love to be proven or shown to be wrong, but either the news out of NYC is tighter than a well diggers ass in darkness, or there legit is no news about the effects of the trucker boycott. It started Monday – here it is Saturday and I’ve seen one uncorroberated vid of full grocery shelves in Brooklyn, and a couple of spurious pictures of empty shelves that could’ve been during the Covid for all I know. IOW, no hard news or reporting. The world will probably go to hell someday and a MF-er looking like Baghdad Bob will stand there and tell you there’s nothing to see. There is NO TV News anymore. Mr and Mrs Boomer: you are in an episode of the Twilight Zone.

My take is that the boycott is, as feared, DOA. I hope I’m wrong, but at any rate how would I ever know?

A year ago, in February, 2023, we watched in disbelief and outrage as Chinese balloons glided overhead, by complete permission and for the pleasure of Pres. Biden. He decided not to tell you about it, and before him the fukn pentagon decided to not tell the president. So, because we permit this shit, here we are again with balloon Act 2. Utah and then Colorado. How many? Is it even true?

I was telling my wife there must be something about the stratosphere that makes February the ideal time for this kind of flight. She disagreed – LOL. Well, I want to know why we have a repeat. Is it that the overlords are running out of gaslight topics to throw at us? I’m also seeing voting machines failing because they can’t connect to the internet. let that one sink in. Then, realize it’s the same news as last year. The news people are phoning it in. They can’t be bothered with getting new news.

If the current balloon has, as is being said, a small payload structure, then my guess on that is that it is not gathering but transmitting. This would comport with the big cell outage the other day.

Shoot them all down over the Pacific. Then tell Biden you did. No ones in charge in the hooch, and Charlie’s inside the wire. Don’t mean nothin’, though.

    • Casey Klahn February 24, 2024, 6:18 PM

Stop the presses! I have a glimmer of sunshine this evening about the Trucker boycott.

I said before that 3-10% disruption of retail in NYC would be effective. I worked retail and 3% is your GDamned growth for a year, or if it’s your loss from shrinkage it’s devastating. 10 would be a catastrophe. Turns out one guy in Twitter has a number: 22% disruption. To the naked eye, it looks like “there’s a truck, maw!” and the boycott is deemed a fail. So, 78% or so get through as usual but they’re getting a bonus of, said somewhere, 30%. Prices in NYC are about to balloon. Now, the good liberal denizens of NYC take it in the shirts daily with taxes on taxes on overcharges on graft – it’s godawful what they pay in taxes. My hotel bills from there, when I go, have 5 taxes on the top of them, mostly form the city but also the state. The state of NY is a criminal enterprise damn certain. They’re like the frog in the boiling pot – a bit more here, a bit more there, and overnight someone realizes his milk and eggs are up 200%. How’d that happen? they’ll cry.

Here is the YouTube with the info. I’m going to research this black trucker dude on the 22% but it sounds solid. https://youtu.be/vdYqSGMbsyo?si=t7GaNxxxRo9AuDMU

Search in Twitter: truckers are winning. Note the huge counter-intel on the boycott; IOW the naysayers.

Casey sed: “Then, realize it’s the same news as last year. The news people are phoning it in. They can’t be bothered with getting new news.”
    ============

You’re probably right. Notice the pattern in news delivery these days, how it has evolved. My take is there is too much news delivery but very little news. It’s about 10 large “news” organizations spreading it long and wide and lots of little “local” news joints spreading it even further.

And, how much of this info is even real? Again, there is no way to know whats real and whats made up. At this point it’s like static on the radio that is mostly off the station. There is no investigative reporting. All it is is just out of college gurlz and soi bois cutting and pasting the same thing over and over and occasionally adding a mistyped adlib sentence or two here and there. And retarded opinion pieces written by conceited blowhards on the gov’t dole.

There is no news any more, just propaganda and lies.

What is the temperature on the Moon?
    ===========================
The average temperature on the Moon, at the equator and mid latitudes, varies from -298 degrees Fahrenheit at night to 224 degrees Fahrenheit during the day.

Because the Moon has no significant atmosphere to block some of the Sun’s rays or to help trap heat at night its temperature varies greatly between day and night.

Most in the west don’t understand fanaticism because their entire life is devoted to avoiding pain.

From Fed preventing losses in their investments, to wanting a pill to solve an illness instead of enduring the discipline at exercising, to not missing a meal, to being able to go without air conditioning or hot water.

People who spend their entire life avoiding normal everyday volatility will never understand the expense and dedication required to win against those who live long volatility as a lifestyle.

And that is what fanaticism is at its heart, it is taking upfront pain for a potential reward in the future. It is the very definition of long vol.

Which is why most in the modern west don’t understand it.

They can’t even stand a 20% drop in their vanguard account.

The Houthi Commanders stepping up and leading their men know a missile could drop out of the sky and kill them at any moment.

A vanguard virgin and a battle
hardened Houthi Commander aren’t even the same species of men.

I don’t think our modern democracy is willing to pay the price necessary to make these guys stop.

They stop if 1) we give them what they want which we won’t do since we support Israel or 2) break their will so they see doing what we want as less painful than continued resistance.

We won’t do the first because of how strong the Israeli lobby is in the US and we can’t do the second in our current form as a country.

Not enough people that are committed to what it would take. We can’t even let banks fail without a bailout, we’re going to win against the Houthis?

    Don’t think so.

So since we aren’t really going to commit to the level required to win, no point in doing it at all I think.

But I may as well be speaking a foreign language talking about this to some. They want to watch military montages to AC/DC and feel good while not taking any personal pain, so ok.

Ghost is right. We are soft. Plenty of radio and tv spots talking about eliminating “food insecurity”. Go to the WalMartz and look around and see if anybody there looks like they missed dinner. As awful as it sounds to hear someone went hungry, especially children, half the kids walking around are fatties. They are fat and don’t even realize it. There used to be one “husky” kid in each classroom in the 70s. Now there are Type 2 diabetes candidates everywhere.

Soft. My kids mow yards all summer to earn college money. There is so much work to be had, they cannot do it all. I am free help for the crew. Some groovy old dude with his two teen age kids mowing lawns when it is 95F. At one house some young man who lives with his mom pays us. Every time he pays us I wonder why he isn’t moving instead of us. Some folks probably think we are desperate, hehheh. Even if we were, that would be how to handle it. Get a job. Get a second job. Hustle. You can’t hurt me.

I do not want to sound too critical of everything around me because I have made some large blunders in my life. I’ve even repeated some of them after not learning the first time. I’ve been a dipshit for sure but at some point in time God or Life itself kids you in the ass and you realize it is Go-Time. It is always Go-Time.

Happy Sunday all! Church, gun range, work on the old truck then grill some dead cow for the family. Murica.

USAF member had a hardon for Palestine, torched self in DC. Look at that guy: he looks like 4 pounds of shit in a 2 pound bag. I seriously doubt he was an AF service member.

Today I come to find out the pentagon says the new balloon is a “hobby Balloon”. In the stratosphere, no less. Would this be the same pentagon that hid last years’ balloon from POTUS’ office for days?

Here’s what needs self immolation. Every newsroom in DC.

A spokesperson from the Israeli Embassy said, “no embassy staff were injured and are safe.”

the entire news service is retarded
