Ladies and Gentlemen, give it up for The Bee Boys!

Well, SF’s packed with feces,
You gotta watch your step up there,
And Los Angeles with all their homeless camps,
The tents and drugs are everywhere
In Napa Newsom drops some 15 thousand bucks on wine
But in the rest of the state with all the mask mandates,
They keep us all locked up real tight

I wish we all could leave California, now
I wish we all could leave California,
I wish we all could leave California, now

Well, Texas has more freedom,
And pistol grips out there aren’t banned
I’d dig a Florida place with no mask on my face,
And no income tax sounds grand
I been all around this Commie state,
And my time here’s about spent
Yeah, but I couldn’t spot even one U-Haul lot
That had a single truck left to rent

I wish we all could leave California, now
I wish we all could leave California,
I wish we all could leave California, now

PLEASE. . .
AND THANK YOU!

Didn’t I read this week where a federal judge ruled against Cali in the church closures during the lockdown? Closing a church is: unconstitutional.

If a class action suit could be brought, just imagine the havoc that would cause for the state. I mean, I guess you can’t sue a state for that? I’m not a lawyer, but maybe the waffle houses could sue the cities over lost after church income? I mean: Cali, and possibly 80% of the states, shut the churches and they had no standing to do so. That foreigner pastor in Canada who threw the police out like Gestapo – he was absolutely right.

Esteemed party member comrade kommissar Gavi the Hairdo and Dizzy Lizzy 2024!
Utah is all full of carpetbaggers so Dizzy will have to join the CPUSA.
Get front row seats and line up some wrestling chairs in the right place and they might get used!
Two commies enter one former republic never comes back.

Was in California, last week, the extended family wanted donuts, so I did the right thing, purchased two dozen donuts. 127.50 for two dozen donuts?.

That night it was hamburgers. But only “hole-foods” hamburgers. 14 burgers, pre made 137.00. I about shit. And I had to bbq em. What a shit show.

Purchased four flats of peach’s, 50.00 a flat. Admittedly fantastic peach’s.

Road side fruit stand, a flat of straw berry’s, a dozen avocados, a dozen tomato’s, two melons. 50.00 thought that was reasonable.

14 tickets to the giants game, ferry ride across the bay, 2200. Food at the game, 475.00. 440.00 in fuel both ways.

Don’t know about you, I can’t afford to hang out in North Bay at those prices. Traffic was insane, people flat rude.

Was never happier to reach the safe boundary’s of Oregon!

Holy smokes, Dirk, where did you go to buy donuts? Anyplace around my neck o’ the woods good donuts are still somewhere around $13-15 a dozen, which is scandalous enough. Same with the burger patties, come to think of it. Even though beef is expensive a pack of decent-quality frozen patties still runs about $20.

Oh – “ferry ride across the bay.” I should have guessed you were close to the coast somewhere. We went into a grocery store in Orange County yesterday to buy some Campbell’s chicken noodle soup for someone who had a stomach bug, and it was $2.49 per can. Out where I live, things aren’t that crazy yet. Of course, this county still considers itself American, even if it is part of California, so there’s that.

Geez, California was legendary for low food prices. This was about 9 years ago, but I could buy perfectly ripe avocados for a quarter. Pomegranates with green leaves still attached were a buck. Beef was pretty reasonable. especially in the big Mexican chain grocery. Vallarta’s?

Last night at the political meeting I had a good talk with one of the AZ corporation commissioners and his assistant who is now running for the same. Boring down ballot races, I know. They just control the power and the water, nothing major. He talked about trying to work with California on various issues. He said it was nearly impossible to get them to think in a practical manner.

We both agreed that today’s progressives have supercharged their ability to fuck up paradise.

Yeah, but Oregon is not safe and prices are not any lower there. I’m leaving the west coast in couple of weeks. I left CA in the 70s, lived mostly in WA state with a little time in OR. But I’m done. I can’t afford to buy a house and I can’t afford the cost of living. I bought a house for cash in the Midwest. It may not be scenic but it will never be hip. And I work from home so I’m bringing my job with me.

  • Dirk August 19, 2022, 11:40 AM

Hi Teri, what area are you moving to, what is it that draws you their? We left Calif in the 80s.

Here folks still wave, we greet each other with kindness. It’s a fun way to live. How about coming here?

A proposition: California’s slide really began with the peace dividend after the fall of the Berlin wall, when we cut defense spending and closed many bases. The southern California aviation industries collapsed and the engineers left. No one noticed at the time because it was the beginning of the tech boom.

That sounds just right to me and, of course, makes me remember “Falling Down.”

      • Gordon Scott August 19, 2022, 9:34 PM

I had not connected the movie to the events until recently myself.

Californians leaving California? No. Hell no. I want them to stay right where they are and enjoy the blessings of their creation. I want them to be woke and thirsty and sweaty and hungry and homeless and transgendered and drag queened and sodomized and pedophiled and surrounded by swarms of illegals. That is what they want after all.

A Californian, like a New Yorker, is a virus that must be quarantined.

Kamikaze-posting this link before I’ve even read the contents. But since it smells distinctly like someone riffing on Tom Wolfe’s Radical Chic & Mau-Mauing the Flack Catchers, whythehellnot?
