Strange Daze: A Small Talent for War

Putin’s Failure – Things went badly wrong. The Russian battalion-sized airmobile force met stiff air defense and was immediately counterattacked by the Ukrainian mobile reserve. Unable to land follow-on forces, the paratroopers could not withstand heavy weapons and were scattered or wiped out. Equally serious for the Russians was the failure of their northern pincer to advance on schedule.

Desperate to “bag” the Ukrainian government, the Russians attempted a large-scale airborne assault for Vasylkiv Airfield to the south of Kyiv to establish a blocking position to catch withdrawing units. But this failed, with two C-17 counterpart IL-76s loaded with paratroops destroyed, and with them, two infantry companies of the Kremlin’s finest. Crucially the Russian mechanized elements trickling into Kyiv proved too weak to break through the city defense.

As Seen on TV – Untethered For years Black Lady Judge has been a fixture in film and television, a negro of extra numinousity* and implied wisdom, as part of the more than half-century long and continuing propaganda campaign conveying black people as more capable and humane than they are in real life–the cultural tyranny long preceding the present social and political tyranny it has been essential in effecting, and which is now wildly, Wakanda-ly, out of control.

Those of us of a certain age have long known Black Lady Judge, near relation to Black Police Chief (gruff but fair) and Black High School Principal (familiar enough to be parodied, when such things were still allowed): here she is pursing her lips at an insolent attorney; there she is raising her eyebrows and lowering her glasses to warn a line of questioning is straying, but she’ll “allow it” for the moment. See her? Serenely dignified, she always has the best posture.

Nolte: The State of Joe Biden’s Union Is Domestic and Worldwide Chaos After Trump had nearly solved this problem, our Southern border is now wide open. As a result, millions of unvaccinated illegal aliens are pouring into our country. We have no idea who these people are, but we do know they bring crime, lower wages, and increased housing costs.

To top things off, Biden just chose one of the most divisive Supreme Court nominees in history when he was offered a unifying one.

Under Biden, it’s all chaos, chaos everywhere, at home and abroad, and there is no end in sight. And all of this chaos is a direct result of Biden’s policies, his incompetence, his lack of empathy, his lack of decency, his corruption, his ego, his stupidity, and the fact that he becomes more mentally diminished by the day.

Wokeism is a radical identitarian doctrine, augmented with a series of very intrusive, divisive and disturbing mechanisms that try to dictate how people should act and think. Wokeism is not about the objective social conditions, but about the diffusion of wokeism itself, which, in the last instance, promotes social unrest, societal fragmentation, and anomie in the host population. The resulting weakening of social structures and the loss of focus on the political debate – impossible to be followed by individuals now confused about their own race and gender – creates a favorable environment for the infiltration of imperial structures and agendas.

The Purpose of War – by Michael DC Bowen People will say that Putin is crazy, but they will not understand his ideological purpose. People will say that violence never solves anything, but they will be blind to the solutions desired by those ordering tanks engagements and warplane sorties. As the affluent friends of Doc will find solace in Germany and Italy today, will they be protected by NATO tomorrow? Some of that will depend on Germany’s dependence on Russian and likely Ukrainian natural resources and the pipelines that deliver them to a Western Europe that has been seduced away from Atoms for Peace. We Americans have no hand in the energy security of Western Europe because nobody the Washington Post ever bothered to poll put such questions to the public. Remember when the City of Berkeley outlawed the use of natural gas? The price of oil just surpassed $100/bbl. Tanks don’t run on wind power. Have no doubt that Putin will bomb any solar panels he may find in Ukraine as targets of opportunity. Have no doubt that the sanctions crowd will call for sanctions. Have no doubt that the US will sweat over pushing the big red button that allows sanctuary for the refugees to come.

Ukraine, Russia and the Atlanticists | RealClearDefense The Atlanticists compounded their error of NATO expansion with their fervent opposition to better relations between Russia and the United States. Some of them promoted the fraudulent Trump-Russia collusion story, even as the Trump administration attempted to improve U.S.-Russia relations (seeking to emulate Nixon’s triangular diplomacy of the early 1970s). Meanwhile, Russia gradually moved into China’s strategic orbit, presenting the United States and its NATO allies with the potential for a hostile great power Eurasian bloc. And now the Atlanticists want to get the United States more heavily involved in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, recommending that we expend resources there that could be better used in the Indo-Pacific. Let’s hope this is their final act–we should listen to them no more.

“You got 1 percent of the population in America who owns 41 percent of the wealth… but within the black community, the top 1 percent of black folk have over 70 percent of the wealth. So that means you got a lot of precious Jamals and Letitias who are told to live vicariously through the lives of black celebrities so that it’s all about ‘representation’ rather than substantive transformation… ‘you gotta black president, all y’all must be free.’” – Cornel West interviewed by Joe Rogan, July 24, 2019

Ukraine’s Deadly Gamble — Ukraine gave up its nuclear arsenal in 1994 in exchange for U.S. security guarantees in the event its neighbors, Russia in particular, turned hostile. What kind of strategy dictates that a state hand over its security vis-a-vis local actors to a country half the world away? No strategy at all. Ukraine was not able to transcend its natural geography as a buffer state—and worse, a buffer state that failed to take its own existence seriously, which meant that it would continue to make disastrously bad bets. In 2013, the European Union offered Kyiv a trade deal, which many misunderstood as a likely prelude to EU membership. Young Ukrainians very much want to join the EU, because they want access to Europe so they can flee Ukraine, which remains one of the poorest countries on the continent.

It’s not the US’s war, and Biden didn’t give the orders for Russia to invade – but he did give them permission of a sort. To Putin, the Kabul Airport disaster and the general shitshow that is America now became everything short of an engraved invitation. I said it before: Russia sucks at tank warfare. I said it well before the roll out of the invasion.

This doesn’t make me a supporter of Ukraine (although I have a sudden newfound admirations for them). They didn’t join NATO, and they took it in the ass for that decision. Maybe they were right all along. I saw a meme saying that Kiev was now considering allowing NATO to join Ukraine. It’s ironic.

I did, BTW, detail how the airfield ops go, and how they rely on rescue by the real army (tanks and heavy infantry). The op we witnessed, with helicopters, was spec ops all the way, and did not constitute an attempt to take and hold the airfields – it was likely trying to preserve them from being scuttled. One thing I was thinking but never got to write: helicopters are for Vietnam, but not for mid intensity warfare. In mid intensity war, they are only meant as troop movers in areas not in contact or under fire. That’s doctrine. The Russians have been critiqued for their over-reliance on spec ops, and now we see they haven’t learned that lesson. The helicopter, cancelled parachute attacks, and wrecked large troop transports, are one for the history books. Army officers will study this one for decades to come.

Democrats are greedy for war, but I’m horny for it. Let’s see what the Biden Fascist govt. has in store for us here on the homefront. I’m feeling encouraged that the Wolverine scenario might be what we need, and I wish the libs could see this lesson. Unfortunately, I think they still occupy only the dry canyons of their own thoughts. Seriously, Biden wants energy independence using windmills. And he wants Putin’s cooperation with his energy policies. DOH!

    re: the cartoon

years back NYC had six television channels (that amazed me when I first got here) and we had TeeVees that used cathode ray tube screens. the tubes produced a lot of light (and the sets a fair amount of heat). at night one could see what channel was being watched by the light in individual windows at quite a distance, different windows were in sync, the intensity and color of each channel’s display appearing in the respective windows. the variations not rythmic, but they lent a certain sense of belonging New Yorkably.

back then, routinely critiqued in the press. I spoke with a producer I was acquainted with, asked him why there were no anthology shows anymore, he said simply because of budget- sets to be built, wardrobe non standard etc.

“Ukrainian soldier and her cat.” Looks more like a photo op to me. Reminds me of when Bush invaded Iraq. He was told that there could possibly be millions of casualties on the Iraqi side. He said, we will just show a picture of a beautiful buxom blond with blood on her face who was supposedly beaten by an Iraqi soldier and everyone will forget about the millions that we have killed. Why does everyone keep forgetting the missles. You know, the missiles that NATO intended on installing on the Russian border. Why does everyone keep forgetting about how corrupt the Ukrainian gubbment is? Why does everyone keep forgetting how Putin basically reopened the Christian Church in Russia? There is a lot more to this war than is being pimped by the American 5th column.

Very true, Joe, very true. Though the threads may seem tenuous, the Gain of Function Flu (The GoFF aka Covid-19) a plague from China, the continuing demise of fear of The GoFF, China’s deep reach into institutions here in the U.S.A. and Canada, what’s going on in the Ukraine now, and the dollars funneled through Ukrainian companies to Hunter and “the big guy,” not to mention dollars funneled through Chinese companies, all lead back to the criminal governments, not just the U.S.’s criminal government, operating Mafia style shakedowns with impunity because the players were “elected.”

So another Hottentot on the Court. Oh yay. Any guess how the creature will vote on issues involving negroes? Here is a handy chart:

      1. The negro is always innocent.
      2. The negro always deserves more money from white folks.
      3. The negro always deserves free housing and food and health care, just like they got in the antebellum South.
      4. The negro always passes all classes in school.
      5. The negro always deserves to shop anywhere without paying for anything.
      6. Anyone murdered by a negro was a racist.
      7. You’re a racist.

      Got it?

Chaos is definitely on the Menu, and Joe Biden will serve it up on schedule, following Klaus Schwab’s lead. So, right now, the COVID narrative is collapsing, and that crisis has done its work – gotten millions injected with a “vaccine” which does none of the things that normal vaccines do so well – prevent infection and stop spread – instead it has killed many outright, shortened life expectancies, sterilized women and children en masse, and destroyed trust in government and societal institutions.

Now there are new goals to be achieved, and a new crisis is needed – and like clockwork, we have it… https://streamfortyseven.substack.com/p/democrats-tend-to-throw-people-under
