[Late] Saturday Review: “Everything But War”

PEAK PUTIN PROPAGANDA POPS!: Putin is said to bathe in the blood extracted from deer antlers, which are hacked off while they are growing and still full of fresh blood [!!]. Let that soak in.

We already see the Dems assembling anew their election fraud machine, one which worked so well for them in 2020, and I have serious doubts about the fighting spirit of many Republicans. We, for example, see dire predictions of a renewed COVID surge; that “surge” will “require,” of course, not just the traditional masks of obedience and lock-downs, but also mail-in ballots. We hear a steady and, unfortunately, bipartisan drumbeat for war with Russia with no clear explanation of the US interests in such an event. This banging of the war drum fosters an air of fear, crisis, and uncertainty that can redound to the benefit of our masters’ hold on power. These masters seek to avoid blame for record violent crime; a massive illegal alien wave; historic levels of inflation; rising interest rates; impending food shortages; factory closings; and plunging stocks and exports: all classic indicators of a recession to come.

The elites’ 11 most absurd claims

HORROR: NYC Robbery Suspect Punches Elderly Man to the Ground, Kicks Him in the Face (VIDEO) What did the attacker look like? You already know. You always know.

Ice Cream Machines & Societal Disintegration |  As the staff becomes more diverse, the odds that something will go wrong with your order trends upward. Furthermore, as the staff of the local fast-food places becomes more diverse, the odds of everything in your community going wrong trends upward.

If you’re looking for a house and want to know if it’s a “good neighborhood,” go to the local fast-food places and see if the ice cream machine is working or not and who is staffing the restaurants. If they can’t keep the ice cream machine running, they won’t be able to keep the schools nice or the property values up, either. It’s an early tell-tale sign of decay.

Cold War Capabilities – Special Atomic Demolition Munitions – They were expected to hand emplace the XM129 and XM159 Atomic Demolition Charges with yields ranging from 10 to 1,000 tons of TNT. Although the devices could be left unattended after it was set via a timer, there was also a Field Wire Remote Control System (FWRCS) to send safe/arm and firing signals to the weapon via a wire for safe remote detonation of the weapon. But as you can imagine, that’s an awful lot of wire.

“Disinformation” is Just a Boot in Your Face | Behind all this is the growing panic in the Left that they are culpable for an enormous raft of crimes committed against their own country, and will eventually end up in court, in prison, or worse. Mr. Durham is just the leading edge of what will eventually be a heavy blade of judgment falling down on their necks. He’s busy sorting out the “Russia collusion” flimflam that turned into a coup to oust Mr. Trump, but that is only the beginning. In November, the Democrats will lose control of Congress and its oversight powers of agency operations, and in 2023 there will be inquiries galore into the neo-Jacobin craziness imposed on our country by the folks behind “Joe Biden.”

CDC Tracked Millions of Phones to See If Americans Followed COVID Lockdown Orders

Smelly Karen Elizabeth Warren Stinks Up the Place With All of Her Weird Smells

The wokesters have made as plain as possible their fear of and hatred for freedom. If you don’t agree with them; if you don’t endorse all their lunacies, e.g., men can be women; if you, yourself, don’t see each and every opponent of wokism as a vile racist, misogynist, homophobe, Islamophobe, science-denier, then you, yourself, are a vile racist, misogynist, homophobe, Islamophobe, science-denier, to whom the Constitution and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights do not apply.

Review: ‘Philip Guston Now,’ at Last – It’s still an ample retrospective of 73 paintings and 27 drawings displaying Guston’s stylistic shifts, including—actually featuring—the sardonic KKK paintings that delayed the original show. But the exhibition has now been recontextualized both to show that Guston was not an inadvertent racist and to provide a didactic cushion for those who might be offended or seriously discomfited by Guston’s late-career imagery of Ku Klux Klansmen. (The museum has hired a trauma specialist for visitors disturbed by the work; an alternative exit provides an escape hatch.)

Their jaws and their Adams’ apples tell you all you need to know.

EXPLODING WHALE SYNDROME 2022 Whoopi Goldberg explodes over Supreme Court abortion debate: ‘This is my body!’

Hollywood Apartheid Is Ready for Its Close-up No Bloomberg or Vulture analyst is gonna dare blame any of this on the “diversity apartheid.” But I sure as hell will. Those inflated apartheid-caused salaries coupled with crappy all-black programming emanating from the quota-writers-of-color crippled the company. Note how the markets where Netflix fared worst this quarter—the U.S., Europe, and Latin America—are markets where European beauty standards have traditionally been exalted (Latin America is arguably the most unapologetic media market when it comes to favoring white features over black or indigenous).

Caspar David Friedrich –  The artist should not only paint what he sees before him, but also what he sees in himself. If, however, he sees nothing within him, then he should also refrain from painting what he sees before him. Otherwise, his pictures will be like those folding screens behind which one expects to find only the sick or the dead.

Re: the Nukes in backpacks that Special Forces dudes were supposed to use to crater the bridges over the Rhine (or wherever it was), have been described as MANPADS. Man portable atomic demolitions. We used to laugh and laugh at that, because it sounds like a ladies sanitary pad. Soldiers can have rather dark senses of humor.

I well remember watching the whale blow up on the Pacific beach in Oregon, on TV. My dad, who used explosives in the army, and in logging, explained that if the explosion wouldn’t penetrate the whale (and how much farking TNT would that actually take??) then the force would go in, then back out the way it went into the immovable object. Whale parts everywhere – and smelly. Dad just laughed and laughed at the lightweights there in Oregon.

So museum goers are too sensitive for the Philip Guston art? Bless their hearts. Let’s just cancel the whole past, while we’re at it. The past was very racist, you know.

The CDC tracked phones. Well, they are the law, after all. Wait…

    • gwbnyc May 8, 2022, 6:55 AM

was thinking, would a blasting mat have worked?

      • KCK May 8, 2022, 7:17 AM

A wise man would place the explosives on the ocean side of the whale. It’s a bit counter-intuitive, but makes perfect sense. They used a fukton of TNT, and it still couldn’t penetrate a whale. Blubber, bone, muscle, water, skin…

Dad was in the Pioneer (Recon) Platoon in the tank destroyers, and was the explosives man. They broke up the tank destroyers and then he went on to join the 10th Mountain Division. Anyway, back home and logging, a stick of TNT was mighty handy when doing stump removal.

I like the thinking re: atom bomb versus Rhine bridge. I mean, when you absolutely, must have and gotta interdict a tank army…

        • gwbnyc May 8, 2022, 12:53 PM

IIRC laying a rock over the charge at the stump’s base directs the blast into the stump, knocking it out of the ground.

Enormously, imagine some dudes who get the call to blow up a whale. Pragmatic thoughts of disposal? Oh hell no. Their normal boring job picking up dead coons off the road, standing on hot asphalt direct traffic during street repair, then they get the call. Dead whale disposal, might need TNT. Hell yeah. Of course they went overboard. My first thought would be to wrap repeatedly with det cord, slit the gut and stuff in TNT and C4, put some thermite grenades in the eye sockets and a Claymore in its mouth. Then PLEEEEZ let me push the T-handle down on the discharge box!

These guys went all the way and can tell that story until their time is up.

Use a D8 to run about 40′ of bangalore torpedo (look it up) all the way up it’s ass, set it off and turn it to mush then let the tides wash it away.

  • jwm May 8, 2022, 5:43 AM

There can be only one reason for creating a Frankenstein virus: to make people sick.
If someone builds a lethal device, and that device kills someone, the builder is guilty of murder.
Every covid death is a murder.
    Every sickness, an attempted murder.
Hell cannot be deep enough, hot enough, or miserable enough for the vermin who did this to us.
But I’d like to see them all suffer appropriately *IN THIS WORLD* for what they have done.

    • John Venlet May 8, 2022, 7:04 AM

JWM, I am in complete agreement with that. Complete.

      • jwm May 8, 2022, 9:12 AM

        John Venlet
I tried to click on your blog, but for some reason the page won’t load.

        • John Venlet May 8, 2022, 10:25 AM

Seems to be working now, JWM. I just clicked in from my bookmarks, and from my name as posted here. Loaded both times. Glitch in the system?

    • Nori May 8, 2022, 8:34 AM

Quite true,JWM,every word. The farming out of bioweapons research to China and Ukraine is a crime against ALL of humanity. Yet they continue to pimp out the “vaccine” despite the growing mountain of evidence against it. These psychopaths are spitting in the face of God,and of His creations. Bad idea.
Oliver Cromwell,Regent of England from 1653-1658. When he died of natural causes,he was given a Statesman’s funeral and interment. After the Restoration of Charles II,the much-hated Cromwell’s body, along with two of his aides, were disinterred and the corpses beheaded. Their heads were put on pikes and displayed outside Westminster Hall.
I’m beginning to understand that level of hatred that would compel such an action.

    • ghostsniper May 8, 2022, 10:19 AM

JWM sed: “If someone builds a lethal device, and that device kills someone, the builder is guilty of murder.”
If an urban thug kills someone with a Glock is Glock guilty of murder?
      Of course not.
The person that jabbed the needle in is responsible for the result.

      • jwm May 8, 2022, 11:55 AM

Slightly different context. A gun is a weapon; like a knife, it’s a tool made for a specific purpose. A gunshot takes out one (usually) intended victim. The virus as lethal device is more akin to a bomb, or a booby trap, absolutely random, and indiscriminate of whom it harms, or why.

        • ghostsniper May 8, 2022, 1:54 PM

OK, I misunderstood what you were saying. Yes, whoever created the virus should be held accountable. The jabbers too as far as I’m concerned.

The 50th anniversary of the whale demolition apparently sent Stacey Abrams into the witless protection program

    Dang,TrangBang. That was FUNNY!
Read somewhere that Miz Abrams had a guest role in whatever Woke iteration of Star Trek is currently being aired as “President of Earth”.
Perhaps the looming food shortage will turn her into a Navy SEAL,or some equally svelte aquatic life form.

  • Dirk May 8, 2022, 8:01 AM

And just recently two Ukrainian, SU27 Flankers absolutely trashed Snake Island. Sea level approach, pitch bombing, using the light house to coordinate and trash the main infrastructure, and munitions dump, of the Russians.

I love they way these Ukrainians are fighting, while the ground wars brutal, their using their special forces in very very very effective lightening strikes. While wars hell, a student of guerrilla warfare can’t help but admire just how bold and effective they’ve been been.

Happy Mothers Day to the wonderful Moms here on AD

Much, if not most, of Amer digest sends me off on tangents. Blowing the whale in Oregon; to thinking about Melville, Ahab, …, & off to Jackson Pollock’s Blue (Moby Dick) hanging in the Ohara Museum in Kurashiki,, Japan , to…

The Eskimo, heading home across the tundra, his snow machine started stuttering, steaming and smoking. He made it home, took the machine to his buddies shop. Buddy listened to it, looked at him and said; “I think you’ve blown a seal.”
He replied: “No, that’s just frost on my mustache!”

    • Dirk May 8, 2022, 9:26 AM

We’ll James everybody knows that the walrus likes a good tight Seal.

…if it would happen anywhere, it’s Oregon.

      One of the classics!

  • julie May 8, 2022, 11:13 AM

Re. Caspar David Friedrich, he’s been our featured artist for this school term. Don’t think I had ever heard of him before, but his work is beautiful. Part of the fun for this study has been searching out some of the locations he painted, which haven’t changed all that much since he was there. Beautiful.

  • Amy May 8, 2022, 5:02 PM

Divine Mercy comes when a sin committed by one person becomes a means of grace for other persons. Like vaccinating boys into autism:
It’s especially satisfying when the victim is aware of it and willfully cooperates with grace.

  • ThisIsNotNutella May 8, 2022, 5:56 PM

And just like that, the China Wants to Conquer the World hysteria suddenly ramped up in all our feeds.

Now obviously it must all be vile evil lies because when your media is owned and controlled by the (((Han)))-dominated CCP, you can’t criticize the (((Han))), or CCP/(((China))).

  • ThisIsNotNutella May 8, 2022, 6:01 PM

    Micturating Mikvehs!

Well, the Putin Antler headline *was* designed to elicit exclamations, nay, Ejaculations.

In Re the Netflix debacle, if there’s one part of the world nobody wants to see any Black or much Brown on screen it’s SE Asia and East Asia.

The Star Wars franchise shot itself in the foot by having a Chinese Pork Chop (slang for ugly fat girl) and a Very Black Dude get if off. Hard to say whether the Han were more offended by the sight of the Pork Chop or the Black or even the Black snogging with her. The point being that people out here still expect to be entertained when they pays their money — and looking at ugly un-photogenic folks on the screen detracts very much from this.

Netflix produces a lot of more localised content, too… Naturally the people it recruits to do this are the local GloboHomo Wannabes.. whether it be Indonesia or Thailand or Singapore, or elsewhere. Suffice it to say that much of what they churn out does not play well in Chinky Peoria.

I think mostly just clueless in their Asian operations. Obviously malice aforethought in the West.
