    Propaganda.

Much “truths”; spun as lies. Too many “quick flashes” of scenes, erroneous dates, and evocative images to be objective.

The actual People of Ukraine are no better or worse than any other culture (regardless of skin tone; yet perhaps still a few centuries behind; not a bad thing as those skills and understanding of “life” are always essential); they are “pawns”.

As such they have been opportunists and if one “follows the money” the riches are in recent times with the Nazis (corporate control of government, through control of capital, means of production and labor (via unions)), German or “NATO”; or the “socialists”, “communists”.

What does it matter as long as “Me and mine eat first.” ? (HT Hillary)

Same as every US government union employee, whether at the federal, state or municipal level.

Which is why this nation is committed to destroying Ukraine to preserve the “servants’ way of life”, regardless of the form of government.

Are the communist/socialist/oligarchs better or worse than the American/NATO/”Deep State” (?) … I take no position.

Only recognize we are all “subject/slaves” regardless of any individual self absorbed sense of economic and personal “freedom” until …

Look at the images of the naked and dead … Now look in the mirror, full body, without clothes …

Whose side of this conflict without known purpose are you committing your children and their children to ?

Gerard, Thank you! This is one great documentary. Nothing is ever as we think we see it and, if we want to, we are never too old to learn.

Thanks. And a special thanks for all your kindness over the years, Joe.

There’s a followup from 2019 “Revealing Ukraine” that may be worth a look as well.

Speaking of revealing Ukraine, there has never been any proof that covid existed nor is there any proof of a war in Ukraine. All you get to see is gov’t-media hype manufactured to keep you on your toes and stressed out.

(who knows what is real any more? If it is gov’t-media it is most likely a lie)

I’ve said it before: When the SHTF the media should be among the first casualties. All of them except the weather girl.

Platoon was so accurate, too. Right? JFK? That barrel of truths was an epic, huh?

The Greeks gave authority based on character. OS ain’t character for me – sorry. I’d probably watch this movie if it were just about any director but Stone.

I gave it a watch despite my similar views of Stone. Firstly, the movie poster image of Stone at the center of it all is disingenuous. Yeah, Stone is the director and producer of the story, but the story is about Ukraine and not about Stone. Also, McCain plays a part (as the bastard that he always was), although very brief and IMO, not worthy of his placement on the poster.

Stone’s thesis is right on the sub-head “Russian Aggression or American Interference”. His starting position seems to be that any time America has a relationship outside our borders that that constitutes American interference. I don’t see things that black-and-white. Yes, sometimes we stick our nose where it doesn’t belong. But our influence around the world is not all a bad thing. We do sometimes make the world a better place.

The film did help me understand that Ukraine is a complex place where her people’s identity and borders have shifted over time. That friction among themselves and with their neighbors is not unusual around the world.

Also, it wasn’t obvious to me at first, but this film is from 2016, so all of the current war was far into it’s future.

Most interesting, fascinating history lesson and some solid information regarding recent events. Only furthers my position that we have no business being involved in this conflict.

Right Casey, Stone ain’t character. However I’ve not been successful finding any character among the we must save the Ukraine democracy either. Best I can do is try to sift through the sh__ for the few kernels of truth and that means both piles.

Funny, but I’m now of the age where I still remember reading and studying about these treaties, the histories of the Ukraine, Russia and it’s revolution, the rise of Communism, actually reading the Communist Manifesto. The history of the rise and fall of Genghis Kahn, building of the Great Wall of China. As well as learning and studying about the American Revolution, the beginning of America, they whys and how’s it was created, and the principles that made it the greatest nation of all history. All viable lessons worthy of retaining knowledge of least we repeat those hard learned lessons. What we got now, in this age of instant historical lessons and information overload, is a few generations that can’t figure out which gender they are, and the most disturbing thing in their lives, is which damn bathroom to use.
