Cartoons are a construct of the white male patriarchy and will be confined to the memory hole due to wrongthink and facecrime.

Thank you for clearing that up. I completely missed it when I first watched the white clown climb out of the black inkbottle in black and white.

This was done by the same cartoonist, Max Fleischer, who did Betty Boop

    Gerard:
I’m nearly 80 now and haven’t seen these favored cartoons (“Koko”, “Toonerville Trolley”, et al) since I was a young child — first in small town movie theaters (Pass Christian and Starkville, Mississippi, in late 1940s) and then at home on black-and-white television (very early 1950s in Falls Church, Virginia).
    What a flash-back!!
The palette of Nostalgia encompasses all colors — sometimes the simplest black and white and sometimes the full spectrum of the rainbow.
(And none of my viewing of it was drug induced!)
“Thank You, Sir!” for this brief but oh so vivid return to my childhood.

Remember when kids could get into the theater on Sat for a can of soup?
Ticket price for kids under 12 was a quarter.
