Simply amazing, these are life’s important moments. Once shared similar moments with my son, as we backpacked the high sierra’s destination was from Squaw Valley Ski Resort, to Grouse Ridge, maybe thirty miles.

Small lakes teaming with trout, lazy days, on trail. Recall meeting and retreating from the largest timber rattler I’ve ever seen. Coiled he stood two ft tall, was almost black in his natural color.

The lite wind pushed the brush, to rattle, but the rattlers buzz was magnified, we watched, when he tired of us he crawled off to sun himself away from us pesky people.

The clouds, the stars were magic. My son often references that great adventure. He’s planning someday to take his two boys now, 7 and 13 on that very trail.

We hiked up, the face of Squaw Valley,,,,,,,these days, one simply takes the tram up to the top.

Spent a few years on flying status as an enlisted crew member in the US Air Force and a number of years flying cross country as part of my employment. When in the clouds I often wondered if there were creatures (likely microscopic) that lived (very short lives) in the clouds. The clouds themselves often seemed to be alive and maybe teeming with life.
Thanks for the video as the clouds once again seemed be alive.
