Strange Daze: Let Us Now Praise “The Daily Timewaster”

“Malo periculosam, libertatem quam quietam servitutem.” The Daily Timewaster. Now More Than Ever.

Civilizationalism | This civilizational angst is what lies at the heart of the war in Ukraine. The Russians see themselves fighting a war for the survival of their civilization. Volunteers from all over the Russian Federation are now fighting in the Ukraine because they see themselves at war with a West that threatens their existence. Washington is not threatening genocide, but something almost as bad, the erasure of their national identity. The Chechens like being Chechen and they will die for it.

This civilizational sensibility is hard for Western people to grasp. America, of course, has no real identity. It is a collection of economic and political slogans that holds together a continent full of strangers. Europe still has some vestiges of national identity, but that has been anathematized by the ruling elite of the continent. Nationalism is now a synonym for fascism. In its place is the concept of European which is even less meaningful than American sloganeering.

The Story Behind “It’s a Small World” –   The National Recording Registry has inducted 25 new songs into its registry this year, one of them being “It’s a Small World.” The song was never a radio hit, but it’s been played more than 50 million times- all in the theme park ride at Disney theme parks. All you have to do is see the title and it starts playing in your head, no matter how much you hate it.

What the World’s Largest Organism Reveals About Fires and Forest Health – Atlas Obscura UNDER THE BLUE MOUNTAINS OF Oregon lurks something massive and prehistoric. Yet the largest recorded organism on Earth, weighing more than 200 blue whales and dwarfing even Pando, Utah’s famous grove of quaking aspens, is nearly invisible to the untrained eye. It’s a single, genetically identifiable specimen of honey mushroom, or Armillaria ostoyae, that has been growing for thousands of years. Nicknamed the Humongous Fungus, it covers nearly four square miles within Malheur National Forest and weighs perhaps 7,500 tons (some estimates range as high as 35,000 tons). The fungus likely attained its record-setting dimensions in part thanks to conditions created by 20th century forest management. And it continues to grow, expanding mostly underground in networks of thin filaments called mycelia.

In addition to the penguins, Port Lockroy, as the tiny settlement on Goudier Island is known, is home to the world’s most southerly functioning post office. In pre-pandemic times, approximately 18,000 tourists visited the remote location annually. But for some, a short tour of the world’s most isolated mail drop isn’t enough. Each year hundreds compete for four jobs at the post office, for a chance to live on an island the size of a football field for five months at a time, without internet, cell service, or even running water.

“It’s Not About the Nail” gives a look into the nature of women. It’s how they are.

Here is the nature of Beta males and hot girls.

Incidentally, I showed both videos to my 8th grade US History class during much of my time teaching in Oklahoma City (2004 – 2019). Never heard one complaint, and the kids laughed.

      Sad, but true.

I know a woman who has been a walking disaster most of her life. She’s settled down now, and pushing 50, but still has a stable of beta orbiters desperately complimenting her, offering their assistance, and hoping against hope that she’ll pick them next time. Literally waiting for years for their chance. She never picks them, and never will.

This gal, cartoonist Lacey Fairchild, is absolutely brilliant on the subject. Her artwork is delightful also.

Preston speaks for me. This brief moment of sunshine is a relief in very troubled times.

I think I only want to add that it’s very interesting to watch the other side get gas lit in the same way my side gets gas lit. The SCOTUS RoevWade leak, and the Musk hostile takeover of Twitter. The left is losing its shit, and their typical reaction is sometimes or oftentimes expressed with political violence. But, it’s a haymaker brought by the Dr Evil/Smersh whoeverthefuk is blackballing civilization right now.

I am starting to think that while they are blackening your orbs, they are in the meanwhile enslaving you with big leaps at a time. Ministry of Truth. Climate Justice. Election fuckery.

It’s imperative that you speak the truth as much as possible and as much as you are able to see it. Speak it with humor, but also with a very sharp blade.

Concerning Bonhoeffer‘s Theory of Stupidity: At this point, we only need to turn to the words of French avant-gardist Jean Cocteau, which I translate as, “No matter how many times you deal with it, stupidity is always astonishing.”

The races cannot live in proximity to one another. Jim Crow and Segregation benefited both races.

It’s not that they’re not human. They are.

But in the USA you are now forced to worship them as Gods when they have feet of clay. Most people are not fit to be free from the need to work and almost nobody ought to be free from common traditional social taboos, strictures, and guide-rails, let alone anything involving the Law.

Add to this some differences in mean racial IQ, related time preference, personality traits, physiology, culture (always, downstream from the former with *some* feedback component; don’t be Cucks now) and you have a recipe for disaster.

And that’s with the best will in the world. Add in the divide and conquer Golem Masters giving a nudge here and pointing a direction here, and you’re in a world of pain. Add to that a generally defeated and feminised Legacy Culture and that’s all she wrote.

At the very least, restoring true Freedom of Association (without which no man can be free) and some degree of Apartheid are necessary steps back from the precipice. Won’t happen of course, so By Other Means.

They deserve dignity and so do we. Current arrangements fail to achieve this outcome.

I will show the Hottentots some dignity when they cease their murderous predation on my people and on American civilization.

You mistake the tools for the tool wielders Mike.

It’s the crazed master destructors in DC, corporate boardrooms, media, academia, the bank next door, destroying America and civilization utilizing any and all tools available irregardless of creed, color, national origin or sexual persuasion.

You should be made aware that irregardless is only a word in New Jersey.

Also in the Carolinas, check Charleston’s City Gazette & Daily Advertiser , 23 June 1795 edition.

The use of the word “Irregardless” IS cause for a grammar Nazi siren.

Why is irregardless not a word?
The ir- prefix means “not,” and if you add it to a word that already means “without regard,” you get “not without regard.” This double negative is what makes irregardless a mess of a word, and an insult to the army of people who are passionate about English vocabulary.

                • Mike Austin May 11, 2022, 3:33 PM

Grammar Nazi reporting for duty. Both “regardless” and “irregardless” are similar, but not quite the same. “Irregardless” has a stronger emphasis, as when someone is giving a stern moral lecture.

Weird, like “flammable” and “inflammable”. Same meaning.

CW’s place, “The Daily Timewaster,” is indeed worthy of high praise!

    • Mike Austin May 9, 2022, 1:20 PM

The “Friday Open Road” is a favorite of mine. My only issue with CW is that he does not post enough photos of brunettes in his “Friendly Smile of the Day”.

In the spirit of Dancing Russians, the Yoyogi Park Greasers:

Tokyo Rockabilly Club in Yoyogi Park, Harajuku

They’ve been at this for many years in the same spot every Sunday. Had the first of many Tokyo WTF Moments when I walked past these guys on the way to Harajuku / Omotesando- at the start of a year in Japan. Got to where I was going for a coffee and it had French-speaking Japanese waiters and a guy dressed up as Marcel Proust (leaving his room a bit non-canonical, but whatever). Was disappointed to learn that the robot cosplay schoolgirl sluts required a trek across town. Oh well.

    • Mike Austin May 10, 2022, 2:36 AM

And to think that the grandads of these guys fought us at Iwo and Okinawa.

Take the pre-1945 Japanese military, add in Midway, the USMC, Leyte, Douglas MacArthur and Hiroshima, and what do you get? Japanese greasers.

And about those “cosplay schoolgirl sluts ” requiring a trek across town. Getting lazy?

Martha!, use to love “ Soul Train”. Love music, as a 7th and 8th grader I would go to Sacramento Mexican dances with my Mexican best friends family. James Brown was often the entertainment. Have everything James ever did on album CD, cassette maybe 8track.

We didn’t know skin color was a thing. James Brown is literally the king of Soul. Hot Tube Babe.
