The big line moved one mile an hour
So loud it really hurt
The big line moved so loud
It really hurt
Back in ’55
We were makin’ thunderbirds
We filled conveyors
We met production
Foremen didn’t waste words
We met production
Foremen didn’t waste words
We were young and proud
We were makin’ thunderbirds
We were makin’ thunderbirds
We were makin’ thunderbirds
They were long and low and sleek and fast
They were all you ever heard
Back in ’55
We were makin’ thunderbirds
Now the years have flown and the plants have changed
And you’re lucky if you work
The big line moves but you’re lucky if you work
Back in ’55
We were makin’ thunderbirds
We were makin’ thunderbirds
We were makin’ thunderbirds
They were long and low and sleek and fast
They were classic in a word
Back in ’55
We were makin’ thunderbirds
We were young and proud
We were makin’ thunderbirds
We were young and sure
We were makin’ thunderbirds

Have not finished listening yet, but, as they say in all the right circles, Shofar Sho Good! Reading between the lines I suspect that Don the Pleb was abducted by a UFO crewed by The West Coast Straussians, Curtis Yarvin, and Peter Thiel’s Pool Boys. After several years of intergalactic abuse by these Citizens of the Cosmos and copious probing both metallic and not, he’s Baaaack!
Unfortunately when he has a drink or three, he seems to get flashbacks and makes videos as therapy.
Anyway, can’t wait to engage Citizen Don on the finer points of Mimesis.

Aaaaanndddd… Just like that, video is gone from YouTube.
More Detroit action of same era. Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels. No fat people anywhere.

Some butt kicking rockers from Detroit. Bob Seger, Mitch Ryder, Don Henley, Terrible Ted Nugent, and the one and only James Osterberg Jr., otherwise known as Iggy Pop. Detroit has definitely left its mark on R&R
Are there perhaps two Don Henley’s? The one from the Eagles was born in Gilmer, Texas and spent his formative years in that area.
I know some people that think this is about making cars.
