Wow....that was quite an event.

I howled with laughter mixed with deep empathy.

Watching it in slow motion is funnier and yet more ghastly.

The best man hit his head pretty hard on the platform. Ouch.

The pastor tries to save the bride from going in but he ends up being too far over and is taken down by her momentum.

The poor groom is left on the edge of the platform on his hands and knees.

The groom could have redeemed the situation but jumping in after to 'rescue' his bride and then complete the ceremony with them both soaking wet.

It would have broken some of the tension that no doubt ensued.

I can't decide if that ringbearer looks more like George W. Bush or Gerald Ford.

Only kidding...

That was painful to watch. I don't know which is worse, a paid professional that would leak the footage, or an invited guest! I sense a lawsuit in the works though. Someone should take a bath - besides the bride.

Sorry, I think it's a fake. The best man never made any real contact with the bride (only the bottom of her dress) and she did a stand up/vertical lean into the pool - face first, no less. Not exactly the gyrations you'd expect from somebody trying to keep their wedding dry. Plus the preacher wasn't really pulled in so much as turn and dove.

Not enough nervous laughter either, and absolutely no profanity?

Thomas, I agree. However, I did hear a few "Oh, shit!"s, one of which was apparently uttered by the bride herself. Only thing better would have been for the camera to have actually filmed the preacher exclaim, "Oh, fuck!" THAT would have been hilarious.

I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry... that's a lie: I laughed until I cried.

Why is everyone assuming that this happened by accident?

Let's connect the dots.

There's already an allegation that ring bearer only pretended to fall, is there not? OK, assume that's true. Surely, that means he must have known that the bride had never been baptized. Obviously, he was trying to help assure that the wedding would be blessed. If we look at the subtext, what do we see? The minister and the bride in the water together. That can only mean one thing: BAPTISM.

Case closed.

. . . let him speak now or forever hold his peace.
