So, President O-Be-Wan: How's that no drilling in America working out for the nation?

Just askin'....

Hey, Gerard, he doesn't care. He's rich. He'll always be rich, especially from sales of his half-assed books to all the suckers out there who buy them. And after he finishes his stint living it up on the taxpayers' backs, there will be no shortage of sophisticates offering him board positions paying huge bucks. Hell, he might even be Secretary-General of the UN! (Oh, and he'll probably start selling "Obamale" on the side too, now that he's perfected home brew. And all those Daily Kos pukes would be lined up at the grocery store to buy it. BTW I bet it sucks.) So he'll always be able to afford gas, even at $25 a gallon. However, if he keeps postponing development of our natural resources, he may well find that even the "state-run media" are not enough to get his sorry ass reelected. Perhaps high fuel costs in the short run will be the price we have to pay to get this worthless turd out of office in 2012.

You're right...Obama doesn't care!

Posted by: pfsm at March 4, 2011 9:38 PM

You are wrong, Obama does care. He is a liberal, he wants gas prices to go up so more Americans will have to ride public transit. Or, failing that, they will want to sell their pickup truck and buy a Prius (or Chevy Volt). It's hard to save the planet when the price of gasoline is reasonable.

Wind Power.. duh! I love the double standards with elite Leftists. It's shameless, intentional hypocrisy.

Posted by: RedCarolina at March 5, 2011 6:13 AM

He cares, he doesn't, he cares, he doesn't. Bottom line is, I don't care anymore. I am ready to bend over and bought a case of K-Y to take the pain and humiliation.

Obama in the closet, where, as Groucho told us, a man is an empty overcoat, is a perfect fit.

Posted by: Harry at March 5, 2011 2:45 PM

Obama probably figures that if we mount windmills on top of vehicles, the faster the vehicle goes, the faster the windmill will spin, and the more energy it will produce. Hey, he studied law, not thermodynamics.

Posted by: dhmosquito at March 5, 2011 2:47 PM

dhmosquito, please don't give him any more ideas.

Posted by: RedCarolina at March 5, 2011 9:13 PM

Uh oh...this means he's going to get serious! 18 holes of golf every damn day until the problem is solved.

Obama: Our first "Bi-Winner" President.

I'm sooooooooo thrilled.....

Posted by: MarkJ at March 6, 2011 7:15 AM

This president is a ghost executive. Vacuous of ideas, vacuous personality, and of course...vacuous when it comes to leadership. He doesn't have a care because he doesn't know what to care about.

Posted by: P. Aaron at March 6, 2011 7:18 AM

This is exactly what the Sierra Club, NRDC. and company wanted. Their members have their trust funds and government pensions to live on so they will be fine. People who are just getting by, however, will not be ok. We will be screwed by high gas and electricity prices that are mostly the result of (lefty) government policies. Keep voting in Democrats for more of this, because, after all, they are "for the little guy".

Posted by: Mkelley at March 6, 2011 7:21 AM

He does care. He cares about his vision. That's what Progs do, they have their vision, everything else is thrown overboard to reach it.

This is nothing new, we've had to deal with manical do-gooders for centuries. Think Moby Dick. Instead of the Great White Whale, we have carbon-free energy. Doesn't exist to a degree that can keep the wheels of an industrial society turning, but hey, its the cause that counts.

Posted by: pashley1411 at March 6, 2011 7:24 AM

President Present will be focusing like a laser beam on this problem. It's his highest priority, like jobs and the economy. And March Madness. And golf. And the Middle East. And high-speed rail.

I do not think it is an exaggeration to say history is largely a history of inflation, usually inflations engineered by governments for the gain of governments.

Those of you who are spouting "he (Obama) doesn't care" are wrong. And I do mean "all in" wrong.

Obama cares. Mucho. And what is happening is precisely what the man wants to happen. And we should prepare to have our economic butts reamed, repeatedly until Obama is no longer President.

O-be-wan, O-be-wan? No, more like the Emperor. "Everything that has transpired has done so according to my design."

dhmosquito said days ago: "And after he finishes his stint living it up on the taxpayers' backs,..."

dh, I am sure you meant "stunt".

"Mr. Obama, in one interview you stated that, under your plan, energy rates will, and I quote, 'necessarily skyrocket.' In the light of that statement, do you attribute the pain American citizens currently have to endure to expected consequences of your policies or simply to gross incompetence on part of your administration?"

...is there ONE journo in the WH pool with a pair large enough to pop this question?

This idea of electrical power is so last year. The guy in charge of the grid in England and looking at wind to power the grid tells us:

UK families will have to get used to “only using power when it was available”

That is Obama's vision. Of course, that does not apply to him in DC when he needs heat or air.

Beware of people intent on remaking society, especially American society. For that very reason, the Second Amendment exists.

Posted by: PacRim Jim at March 6, 2011 10:25 AM

A coup.

Not an administration.

Posted by: TmjUtah at March 6, 2011 10:25 AM

He has mostly done what he said he would. Energy prices will continue to skyrocket. And without new major power plants starting construction pretty quickly, rolling blackouts are in our future, in addition to economy killing costs. Liberal energy policy is a bad joke.

Welcome to his world. Now we'll see what we do about it. Nov, 2012...

We need some serious, good conservative candidates.

Posted by: KyleF at March 6, 2011 12:02 PM

You talk like Obambi does not want gas prices to sky rocket if you believe this is not what he and the big enviro dems don't want you are wrong it serves their agenda perfectly.

NO WONDER he is not worried about being one-term, it fits the resume along with the Nobel prize - how could the UN refuse him! Imagine the Presidency of the United State is just a stepping stone for this guy!
