Must See TV: Saving Cat in Mother Russia We Are

It's.... the Russians. And saying, "It's... the Russians" explains so much of what you are about to see.

So, why did it take us 45 years to win the cold war?

Because quantity has a quality all its own, I guess.

It's not so funny that one young guy thought any of this was a good idea. What's funny is all the people standing around who agreed.

The Rooskies have several admirable traits: they can think outside the box; they will follow through with a plan; they celebrate success.

Also, notice they are friends of the planet? They regard trees more important than any ol' power lines. They respect Vegans as well; they did not cook the cat and eat it.

The story reminds me of my uncle Letsgo Lozko. As you know he raised bantam chickens. I asked him one time why chickens?
He replied "cuz dey can't fly avay."
Since I had him in a talkative mood I asked him why he didn't raise rabbits, they can't fly either and the way they breed he would have lots of them to sell.
He just gave me a long hard look.

If they only had duct tape they could rule the world.

And, there you have it, the miracle that is 100 years of socialism. A borrowed (and probably illegal) hatchet and a teenager in a fur hat running the show. When enough ice and snow accumulated on the felled Birch, the power line came down. Three weeks and ten dead senior citizens later, power was restored. In May, when the snow melted, the rusty hatchet appeared from under the ice and was used as a weapon in drunken disagreement over a fifth of cheap vodka.
