Send home the clowns.

After 146 years, the curtain is coming down forever on “Ringling Brothers: The Greatest Show on Earth.”
Its last performance will be May 21 at the Nassau Coliseum. The show stoppers included high operating costs, declining attendance and changing public tastes. Not to mention a long and costly legal battle with animal rights advocates, which ended with its hugest stars — the elephants — being pink slipped. New York Post

And Pamela Anderson, Our Lady of the Plastic Tits, is proclaiming the demise of Ringling Brothers as a personal victory.

Bring back the arena, and set the "stars" out in pairs with knives and nets and tridents. Televise it, and make PETA its sponsor.

When my son was 4 he and I sat right up on top of their biggest elephant in Sarasota. It was like sitting on the floor with a slight bump in the middle. Solid as concrete.

I'm going to miss the circus train. They would stay for a few days at our rail yard in San Antonio.
