What the Next President Must Do About the World: Michael Totten

Get real about Russia, finish off ISIS in Syria, back the Kurds to the hilt, downgrade relations with Turkey, repair our relations with Israel and crack down hard again on Iran.

World peace won’t break out if you do these things, but we’ll be a lot better off than if you don’t.

All this advice is based on one simple principle—you reward your friends and punish your enemies. It’s the first rule of foreign policy, one that has been with us since antiquity and will survive until the end of time. Presidents who behave as though this rule doesn’t apply to them are as doomed to fail in foreign policy as rocket scientists who ignore gravity. Hubristically declaring that it would not do “stupid shit” like its predecessors, the Obama administration flipped this rule on its head over and over again—with Israel, with Russia, with Iran, and with Turkey—with disastrous results every time.

So turn things around. Again: Reward your friends and punish your enemies. Tattoo that rule on the back of your eyelids if you have to. - The Tower

Get real about Russia, finish off ISIS in Syria, back the Kurds to the hilt, downgrade relations with Turkey, repair our relations with Israel and crack down hard again on Iran.
=============================

Knock. It. The. Fuck. Off.
Hasn't anybody learned anything yet?
What's it take, a home made pipe bomb shoved all the way up your ass?

Bring ALL military home instantly.
Secure ALL borders instantly.
Place ALL warships 100 miles out in the oceans around the country, same with the subs.
Stop ALL immigration.
Send ALL criminal illegals back instantly.
Reduce ALL taxation instantly by 50%.
Reduce gov't employees by 50% instantly.
Reduce ALL gov't spending by 50% instantly.
Eliminate 50% of ALL gov't programs instantly.
IOW, get serious about running a country, for the first time in almost forever.

Well said, Ghost. Neocon doctrine requires eternal US military protection for Israel and our intimidation of Russia anywhere in the Middle East.

Can't agree. If we return to our borders, they will follow us here. This has proven true with ISIS.

Fight them on the frontiers. Fight them at the most forward defensible position. Not here, if we can help it.

We haven't been an isolated country since...well, never.

I'll be in my hooch.

How are they going to get in?
By the time they get to within, say, 150 miles of any border them 18 inchers will lay waste. If they try reaching in from farther out those subs will ruin their day. Also, all 7? carriers will be protecting OUR country not running around crossing the equater as often as possible so they can issue some more fruit salad to the knaves.

Fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them over here is about the stupidest thing I ever heard. Costs more and is less effective - what's not to like?

You can't deny that while we were fighting AQ in Iraq and Af Fag istan, that the US was less kinetic and not the main battlescape. After Obama quit these wars, and bent us over, the battle came here.

Again, you have to watch Gary Cooper's movie where he refuses to back down from the fight. High Noon.

America is the global power. Everything we do, the world follows suit. If we sneeze, Europe catches a cold.

Russia is in an expeditionary mood. That ought to give you chills.

Maybe a lesser country would suit the isolationist character. Try Iceland, or Canada. Zaire? Costa Rica is great for ex pats.

If I'm over at my neighbors house slapping him around nobody is watching my house.

So I have to hire someone to do that part, and I'll pay them with stolen money.

Somewhere you have to draw the line and I prefer the line drawn by morality.

America's national interests are the moral good. Have we ever done wrong? Certainly. But, the American brand of freedom is admired and desired all over the world. I don't mean to spread it - just to say that if we tend to our own interests, it cannot but involve the world.

What you say is fine, Ghost. But we wear a star on our shirts. Maybe you've turned your's in. Fine and dandy. The bad guys will come for you anyway.

I'm not going overseas! That ship already left the dock. I think American oldsters like me and you are plenty to defend our borders.

If Russia gets the Baltics, everything is up for grabs, and I mean Alaska, the Pacific Islands, control of the UN. Hell. I would love to be the guy to go over there and whup Putin's ass myself. Just for looking funny and talking shit.

If you aren't in for the whole pie, then the tin plate is going to be a hard chew. Let me put it another way. If Putin succeeds in re-configuring Europe and/or the MidEast, then our next president will make Benito Mussolini look like Carroll O'Connor in a tutu.

ISIS, et al, are creations of the US as proxy army in the glorious struggle comrade! to bring about world communism - I mean Globalism of course.

The globalists aka US/GB/Saudi (primarily) are losing, big time. Flush with success(?) from destroying Libya, Eqypt, Tunisia, Iraq, Somalia, AND MORE (Yemen is ongoing)the NWO crowd attempted a bridge too far, Syria. We got no business there, yet tptb INSISTED over & again on an invasion. No citizen or congressional support, the obozo regime invaded anyway.

Russia is not our enemy. Obozo pushed for Ukrainian riots, for the same reason as the s/c arab spring. Obozo does not represent Americans. Resent yes, represent NO.

Independent & curious researchers of truth would do well to delve into the activities of Kermit Roosevelt in Iran, c1954ish. As well as the memoirs of Marine Gen. Smedley Butler, titled "War is a Racket". OH, and do research the "German Spring" as well, along with the exile of those involved.

If lamestream media (including/especially FAUX NEWS) is in agreement with the current regime regarding events & spin, You Are Being Lied To.

Guaranteed - this shouldn't be difficult to comprehend, although I do understand there are those unable to grasp that this regime (& a few more before) has made itself an enemy of the people, and a lackey of soros the nazi, while unable to accept that maybe the Russian PEOPLE are not our problem, or a problem at all. Old habits die hard.

I consider the islam must be destroyed
