Applicants for every U.C. Berkeley graduate program must provide

"evidence of how you have come to understand the barriers faced by others,
evidence of your academic service to advance equitable access to higher education for women, racial minorities and individuals from other groups that have been historically underrepresented in higher education, evidence of your research focusing on underserved populations or related issues of inequality, or evidence of your leadership among such groups." Your Say

OK, let's say you're a Berzerkly ChemE major, and have just completed your B.S. And you want moar.

1. How is it possible in the firehose spray of engineering classes to satisfy requirement #1: "academic service to advance equitable access"? Hmm... instead of summer industry internships, you spend your summer tutoring horses that don't want to drink, or writing or participating in political indoctrination workshops about forcing those horses to drink. Without those industry internships, good luck trying to get a job after college. Strike one.

2. Requirement #2: "research ... underserved ... inequality". You're a ChemE major, Requirement #2 is a non-sequitur. Strike two.

3. "Leadership of those horses". Umm, you're Anglo males, good luck with that. Strike three.

Well, my two friends, I suggest that you take those internships and leave after four, including California. You're outta there. Your kind is not wanted.

That should be the final nail in the coffin of *Higher Education* at tax payers expense in Kalifornia. Shut the entire system down. Terminate the entire staff without any compensation. That conglomeration of ass packs serves no interest whatsoever to a functional society.

I just can't wait until "evidence of how you have come to understand the barriers faced by others" will be required of white men in order to renew their state drivers licenses.

Well there go the academic rankings of UC Berkeley. I am so glad I did not get my grad degree there. Sadly, I know a young woman (not my daughter, thankfully) who is planning to attend there starting this fall to work on her PhD. We'll see how long that lasts.
