No one ever talks about “President Trump” as it is just assumed he is a novelty act.

The first thing the [expert] guy said was that Trump has more paid staff on the ground that anyone other than Bush.
He has the second biggest team in Iowa and the biggest team in New Hampshire. Bush with all his money has more paid staff in Iowa, but Bush has collapsed and is laying off staff everywhere. Trump meanwhile keeps climbing in the polls. Current numbers have him in the 30’s. The other thing he said is professionals on the ground in the early states are getting used to the idea of him winning. According to the expert, this is the prelude to voters getting used to the idea of him winning. Gettin’ High off The Supply | The Z Blog

A big ol' bite of reality is more than most people can bear.

They prefer socialist gov't coddling in it's myriad forms.

I still have misgivings about Trump, but I will admit that his candidacy is the only one that actually seems to have a pulse.

I just finished his book, "Crippled America." There is little in the book that I would disagree with. It is still short of detailed solutions, but explains how he manages things - gets expert advisers, explores the options, selects a course of action, then puts good people in charge of executing the plan.

I find his personal delivery off putting. It is the aggressive Noo Yawk style and the constant bragging about his success that turn me off. The book is in his voice but is much less off putting than seeing him in person. Read his book. It has convinced me that, if he is the GOP nominee, I can vote for him without as much trepidation as I had before reading the book.

The question for me now is, can he be elected? His negatives are very high and the media/GOPe will do everything they can to bring him down. Which is a revolting development in itself.

Jimmy J., the old Dizzy Dean line fits when you talk about Trump's bragging.

"It ain't bragging if you can do it." ~ D. Dean

True dat. However, humility in a man of great deeds is likely to draw more accolades (and votes) than non-stop self acclimation.

Bragging or not, if he's done it before he should do it again - in the oval office.

(I just finished the latest book about him last week, it hasn't been published yet.)

What Trump will find out is that the art of the deal has a different meaning and format inside the beltway than what he used to out here in reality. Maybe he could hire some of the members of the Gambino family for his cabinet to help him get up to speed.

There is so much poison in DC it may take 10,000 Trumps at the same time to fully eradicate it.

We have had enough humility from #41 and #43, Clinton's shuckin' and jivin' and not that piece of burnt toast in the White House. I'll take Patton's humility, or Putin's. Why not Omar Bradley's. Chesty Puller had some FINE humility.

One can afford to be humble only after one has kicked all the ass on the street. Then you can be nice.

Guess what?

The wheel of the world has turned. The post-WWII order is done. Like the arrangement after Bonaparte was sent to St. Helena this one is done.

Now there are powers, and powers that were powers under the previous settlement. What should be done?

That beats the heck out of me, and the utter ass-clowns Obama surrounds himself with? That group of Cook County hacks?

We are fortunate that the residual power of the USA is still so great. For if that residual power, the memory of the fear of what the USA can do when it does what few nations ever do - focus - is dismissed as a crazy dream, then billions will die.

Early.

I mean, everyone does die. It's just that a large number will die. Early.
