General Wesley, Chairman of the federal JCS,

appeared on a balcony above the crowd that had been gathered to welcome President Warner.
After announcing the death of the president, the vice president, the speaker of the House, and most of the cabinet, he said, “The line of succession envisioned in the U.S. Constitution had been broken beyond repair,” which wasn’t true since there were still some cabinet members, but that didn’t matter. “I’m in charge here now,” he went on, “and the United States is under martial law. Civilian government is suspended for the duration of the war for the union. The duty of every citizen is to remain quiet.”

They are smart enough to have dropped the "bright line" declaration when they do anything. They can get everything they ever wanted as long as they never come out and say "we have taken over and you are now a slave."

Mark, the system will eventually lead to people overthrowing the system.

Lenin, we will organize a vanguard and get the people to overthrow our enemy and then we will take over.

Stalin, I will kill everyone that doesn't accept my total control, and many that do acccept it.

Frankfort School, we will give the middle-class arguments for hating those they already hate, and doing what we want them to do. We will have our natural enemies destroy all centers of power that could oppose us, and we will have them enslave themselves to us.

The ONLY way The Left could lose is by announcing "now is the time you should start fighting us." I doubt we will get that lucky.
