“It is hard to come back to life,” Mamet said,

“Especially when your country is doing what all great civilizations have done, which is to try to use its wealth to eradicate human nature.” -- War Stories: An Interview With David Mamet

Your Say

David Mamet sucks. And here's why:
(insert essay at LEAST as long as the piece, long post anyway)

...which boils down to why I'm so envious and jealous of what Mr. Mamet has accomplished in his works.

Disclaimer:
I too was a Goy in a world of Jews

I too was Hetro in a world of "Gays"

I too was/am Conservative in a world of brain dead "Liberals"

I too was a "man of action" in a world of "Let's form a discussion panel"

"Oliana" probably pissed me off most. "The big picture" aside , I too was a minority (Hetro, higher IQ,male, often challenging "conventional wisdom", in an institution of so-called "higher education", rife with "plagiarize the victim ology to appease the (inexplicably) esteemed professors tenure track/maintenance" (Sarah Lawrence-failed out)

Can't believe there wasn't a nod to "The Secret Knowledge" in the piece, his recent(ish) book on his "coming out".

OK, too rambling, too many "symbols", and I was
too "inspired" when I read the interview for a calm, sensible "tweet" response.

I enjoyed reading the piece. I had never head of this fellow, although I enjoyed 'The Verdict' very much. It reflects the reality of law practice far better than most movies or television shows.

Paul Newman has made some excellent law-related movies. He made one with Sally Field where he was the law-abiding son of a gangster and the Justice Department tried to set him up. With Holder as Attorney-General that one would be good to see again. Very timely.

Another stupid unreligous way to say ""My lack of religion you shall know."

Sad thing is Tolkein and Lwews are around but not really around.

Can liberals write anything but agitprop?
