Right to Carry Now Nearly Universal in the USA

As of 1986, slightly less than 10% of the U.S. population lived in states where there were objective and fair procedures for the issuance of concealed handgun carry permits.
About a third of the population lived in states where there was not even a process to apply for a permit. The majority of the population lived in states where issuance in permits was highly discretionary, and many issuing authorities refused to issue to ordinary law-abiding citizens. By 2014, the percentage of people living in the Red states, with no possibility of even applying for a permit, has declined to zero. Growth chart of right to carry

Your Say

Glad you enjoyed the chart. I had a good time making it. Dave Kopel of Volokh Conspiracy is a national treasure imho, and was kind enough to publish my work. My intent was to remind the gun grabbers how badly they are losing. I am reminded of the part of Henry V where Shakespeare has Henry saying to the recalcitrant leaders of rebel Honfleur "Will you yield?" It's time for the losers to admit they lost the debate. We've beat them in the state legislatures and we're beating them in the courts since Heller and McDonald.

I will never ask for permission, and pay extortion, to use my own stuff, ever.

Next thing you know people will be stumbling all over themselves to pay even more extortion money *just to have* stuff.

-silly asses, they ignorantly are making life difficult for the rest of us-
