“Being an economist has got to be the most depressing job in the world.

Because, you go your whole life trying to teach some basic principles, over and over and over you teach these principles: you teach them in the classroom, in newspapers, on television, on the internet—teach ‘em, teach ‘em, teach ‘em. And then, you’re sitting there on your deathbed, and your nurse comes in and says, ‘You know, I really think it would boost the economy if we raised the minimum wage.’ And you just think, what was it all for?” — Tom Woods [Anti-Government Extremist]

Your Say

Imagine being an economist and reading Paul Krugman's moronic trash. He clearly knows better but he writes stupid crap for his fans and leftist buddies to pretend supports their failed and destructive philosophies.

Econmists are the most Aspergy of the social sciences. As such economists are the most persuaded by data and they just KNOW everyone else will be persuaded by data. If someone isn't persuaded by the data you give them, obviously they will be persuaded if you give them enough data or you give them clear enough data. Just as Marxists see humans as economic units, economists see humans as data analyzers. Both are wrong.

People who aren't already driven by data are not on the verge of changing their mind because of data. If all the nutritionists in the world get together and scream "eat a sandwich" the ranks of anorexics would not be lessened by even one patient.

Obama voters wanted to be lied to. They will not remember the failures of Obama as disproving future commielib folly. To slow or reverse commielib progress you must be in their face everywhere they exists and never give them a moment's peace. Anything less it seen by commielibs as an invitation to enslave you. If you value being seen as peaceful and polite above your liberty you will become their slave, even if you wouldn't enslave them, or you don't think forcing people is proper. This ain't Mayberry. Mayberry Rules will not be in effect until you drive commielibs from public life.
