Eventually a message would appear notifying the dealer that the page had ‘timed out.’ Tom Frew, the business manager at Galpin Motors in Los Angeles, said that he needed 35 tries to register just one of the company’s 11 dealerships on the day that the program opened because of problems with the government Web site. Its not just cash for clunkers or the Obamacare project, it is everything the Federal Government does. There have been lots of Federal Technology programs go off the rails. Even the military is not immune, just look at the F35 program.

There have been lots of others. The problem is that the Federal Government is a very blunt instrument with which to solve problems.

Republican Voter: Well then I don't need to speak up to attack ObamaCare or defend liberty because some day, some way, lifelong liberals will notice one of the 809 liberal failures and suddenly just know to stop being liberals. Glad that's done with, now I can return to my 120 hour per week hobby of trying to make my lawn nice enough nobody can ever think I'm not holding up my end of the Citizenship contract. Somebody let me know if a liberal somewhere calls me a bad name, I will go hide in a cave. I couldn't take another breath if a liberal called me a name.

Why can't the gov't use the same folks who built Obama's campaign website? That train never skipped the tracks, not even for foreign donors.

I have a friend who works in the used car business (they're not all scumbags) and he talked about this when it was going on. At first it was a big sales boost, but then it hurt them big time because it took months to get paid off and the number and quality of used cars dropped off precipitously. All the used car prices went up significantly after that debacle.
