"Gun Free School Zone" is a lie every bit as much as "Arbeit Macht Frei"
They look at the massacre and see the need for more regulation, registration and confiscation.
We look at the dead innocents, deliberately disarmed and made easy targets in a carefully crafted, firearm-free environment, and blame their big liberal lies and unintended idiocies for the body count. "Gun Free School Zone" is a lie every bit as much as "Arbeit Macht Frei" and every bit as deadly. -- Sipsey Street Irregulars

The thing is, nobody wants kids lugging guns to school, let alone using them on each other. Nobody wants a massacre, or even one child shot at, by anyone. We all want schools where chewing gum, cutting in line, and running in the halls are the biggest problems administrators have to deal with again.
Except nobody wants to go back to the social and cultural patterns, morals, and traditions that gave us that time, that made the schools like they were when those were the biggest troubles. We want to live wild and free and without rules, rejecting authority, ethical standards, and tradition yet somehow keep all of their benefits.
Behavior is a result of dogma, we practice what we believe and how we believe. The fruit comes from the core of the tree, and if you rot out that tree, the fruit will be rotten, too. There is no alternative; you don't get to party hardy and live right at the same time. Pick one and stick with it, don't whine about what you lost because you picked one or the other, you made your choice.
