The Red Queen's race

"Well, in our country," said Alice, still panting a little,

"you'd generally get to somewhere else — if you run very fast for a long time, as we've been doing."

"A slow sort of country!" said the Queen.
"Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!" -- -- La Wik

Your Say

Or you start practicing civil resistance and civil disobedience and change the country's political landscape. Instead, we imagine The Left will punish us if we don't fully cooperate, and after we imagine a conflict, we decide we don't want the punishment, so we do nothing.

If you demand fighters as leaders we can change more than you imagine. If we just "war game" in our head and surrender it only gets worse. Be a citizen, not a game piece.

Demand the GOP replace John Boehner and Mitch McConnell or shut up and take Obama leading your behind in quiet. For the love of God people you're being asked to make a phone call or send an email, not die in an isolated outpost away from home. Is that too much?
