Ineptocracy (in-ep-toc'-ra-cy)

- a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers. --Dr. Sanity: A CULTURE OF LOSERS

It is not in the nature of politics that the best men should be elected. The best men do not want to govern their fellowmen.

I saw a comedy sketch a long time ago where three applicants for a job were being interviewed.

The interviewer brought out a cardboard box full of random items and let each applicant "show their creativity". Two of the applicants pulled off amazing feats when it was their turns. The third was a complete shlub who totally laid an egg.

The shlub got the job.

He asked the interviewer why she chose him.

She said, "You're not very attractive, so there won't be any sexual tension between us and you're as untalented as a sack full of doorknobs...you're certainly no threat to MY job."

The shlub thought, "Not very attractive and uncreative? I'm on my way to the top!"
