Time for the Conservative Establishment to Spend a Week Effing Itself with an Atom Bomb

There are many furious headlines being written castigating Santorum
for somehow having sneaked under the radar without paying his dues by being lambasted by the conservative establishment for a week. The consensus is that he only almost won because all the other candidates crashed and burned. That might be true, but who tanked the other candidates? Aside from Cain, the liberal media hardly had to lift a finger. It was the gatekeepers of the establishment who did all the heavy lifting. .... The gossip website ethos of sensationalism and a predatory appetite for human failings trumping all else. -- The One True Anti-Romney by Daniel Greenfield

Your Say

We're not electing our Messiah, we just need a leader with a spine and a veto pen. When Romney wins in NH, don't give up hope. If Romney was running against everybody's wet dream NH would still give the victory to Romney as nearly a native son. A Romney win in NH is a lead pipe cinch and indicates nothing about Santorum. Don't expect Santorum to be perfect, to never disappoint, and to receive anything but full-time vicious and unfair criticism. They will make up stories if necessary and your duty is to not be swayed by emotion or what seems to be a tide of disapproval. It's about what is true, not what is LOUDEST or everywhere you look.

Be a responsible citizen, not a passenger on a bandwagon. If he's good enough, and I think he's terrific, then don't let any crowd or emotion override that choice. Stop trying to guess who the crowd will pick and beat them to the punch. That's how the Dems picked the commie-messiah of doom.
