This is the photo op where sensible souls light their hair on fire and run screaming from the scene

What's-His-Name with Jackie ONo!

Since it was still Veterans Day: Lady M arrived for the big game on the USS Carl Vinson, wearing her “I [heart] the military” sweater, along with her “I [heart] the military too” hubby, wearing his George W Bush bomber jacket. --Michelle Obama's Mirror: A day of do-overs

Man she just picks the goofiest looking outfits, like a bum rummaging through the Salvation Army store. At least we don't have to suffer through stories about how wonderful her fashion sense and how beautiful she is any more. The media's desperate attempt to turn this woman into Jackie Kennedy II died in flames.

I get Obama, but I don't get Mike. Women don't let other women do this to themselves. Do they?

There must be an explanation for this. No woman on earth could fail to see that this outfit looks ridiculous. It must be a conservative plot. Or something. Maybe Obama is using these outfits to attract the pity vote, as in the "pity the poor bastard who has to go out in public with a clown" vote.

Jesus ca-rawlin ca-reepin ca-rist.

That....creature.. gives whole new meaning to John D. MacDonald's description of some guy as "giving most men the warm, sweet urge to hit him in the mouth."

Pat Nixon's cloth coat is haute couture compared to this bimbo.

I saw a movie once where people escaped from a vampire by hiding in a church. Every time the vampire tried to cross the threshold, it would burst into flames.

When I see these two enter a military base, I'm surprised the same thing doesn't happen to them.

That smirk.
While you crackers were crawling in the mud in basic training I was smokin' out in the dorm, and talkin' revolution shit. Suckers.

The sad thing is that, on the scale of Michelle outfits, that's really not so bad. The black pants are respectable. It's obviously too childish for a First Lady and not the right kind of casual, but it's not a sofa cushion and it doesn't make her look pudgy.

Sigh. So many African American women are so stylish, either in an old-fashioned way or a fashion-forward way. The women in my office would be stunning as First Ladies, and that's just from their own closets. But Michelle has all the money and all the potential help she could hire, and a face and body that are fully acceptable; yet she can't routinely manage looking as good as ordinary cube-dwellers. It's discouraging.

Mind you, I would make a terrible First Lady, and would probably be much scarier than Lemonade Lucy, even. But even I could manage marginally better than Michelle. Truly it is scary.

Someone needs to teach him how to salute!

At first I thought, "What a lot of gall to wear a pilot jacket, what a jackass!" Then, I started thinking, maybe some pilot or someone gave him the jacket for the occaison and he decided to wear it. Still a jackass, but not so much gall if he didn't procure the jacket on his own. As for Mrs. O., how do you expect a Klingon to dress?

No. no. I keep telling you. It matters naught what the Obamas clothe themselves in. All that matters is their beliefs. Do not be distracted.

We need an election do-over. She makes Barbara Bush look like a supermodel. I admit, I will miss the never-ending stream of fashion comedy. Who needs SNL when you have these two being themselves? To be sure, even if he is not elected, they, especially she, will find a new niche in the halls of "affirmative action fame" - Michelle can be the Paris Hilton of the post-Obama era and Barack, the new Forest Gump. They have certainly earned it.

Forrest... Forrest Gump.

Is she looking for a job as a stand-in mime?
