"I believe that Barack Obama owns the Occupy Wall Street movement," Rudy Giuliani

"It would not have happened, it would not have happened but for his class warfare.
And remember, as it gets worse and worse because it's going to get worse and worse, where it came from. Barack Obama. He praised it. He supported it. He agrees with it. He sympathizes with it. And as it gets worse and worse, I believe this will be the millstone around Barack Obama's neck that will take his presidency down." -- RealClearPolitics

Your Say

Bingo! This is where Rudy gets it. Tolerance of crime and lawlessness coupled with class envy is an invitation to disaster. The flash mobs of little hood rats beating people up in big cities are the brownshirts Obama needs to loose to disrupt orderly democratic process. God help us.

I am not at all sure that I agree. There are quite a lot of otherwise fairly conservative people who think the Wunch are worthless parasitic scum for whom hanging is too good. The choice of Wall Street was inspired.

Why won't anyone--anyone --just come out and state that Obama's a Marxist? Let's get real.

Okay, Obama's a Marxist....

I'm not sure I'd lay it specifically at Obama's feet. The Eat-The-Rich-Populist meme has been near and dear to the Democrats' hearts since Reagan's time. Gore was trying to play the card back in 2000, it was just harder to play it when times were good.

The thing I'm not sure Obama really gets yet is that he's not in control of this meme, and is ill-positioned to exploit it. I wouldn't rule out an attempt to contest his nomination at next year's Democratic convention (Elizabeth Warren, perhaps?), and his campaign will be doomed in any event if the far left can't stomach voting for him even as its lesser evil.
