California Wages War On Single-Family Homes

In California, the assault on the house has gained official sanction.
Once the heartland of the American dream, the Golden State has begun implementing new planning laws designed to combat global warming. These draconian measures could lead to a ban on the construction of private residences, particularly on the suburban fringe. The new legislation’s goal is to cram future generations of Californians into multi-family apartment buildings, turning them from car-driving suburbanites into strap-hanging urbanistas. -- Joel Kotkin

This was done by every. single. communist country in the last century. Control of the population is much easier when they are not fewer and far between, but rather stacked nicely in boxes. Control their living spaces, control their movement, control their carbon output by ending their exhalations. Set a quota to downsize the pollution of CO2 by killing breathers and breeders.

What if find ironic is that the 1981 movie "The Last Chase" had Lee Majors trying to make his way across a totalitarian ruled country, in a banned internal combustion engine race car, to the last free state...California.

People need to start reading The Declaration of Independence very carefully and thinking very deeply about it....especially this part: "That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive. . .it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government. . . "

it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government. . . "
Of course the Government frowns on this sort of thing. They have a word for it: Rebellion. Calling those practicing such traitors, this brings about a clash of arms.

Well, I've nothing better to this weekend.

Forget all the nonsense about "green" and "efficient". Follow the money.

Renters don't care if the landlord gets taxed, and won't vote against the taxers, especially if some goodies are thrown their way.

Homeowners notice taxes.
