Why Palin in the Race is a Good Thing

Win or lose, Sarah Palin will define the issues that the 2012 election will hinge on.

What the GOP is offering as we speak are the traditional clusterfluck of b-s artists and, you know, McCains. Yeah, a few, well maybe just one, Herman Cain, can electrify a room, but the rest are yawners. Sarah Palin will come out swinging; talking stuff that milquetoasts would never hazard. She, better than any of them, will operate in the firestorm of media hostility with no flapping. Sarah Palin will ignite things. It may be that the GOP still has enough punch left to knock her out, or the anticipated multi-billion dollar (in kind) media attack campaign will succeed, but the man left standing will have embraced her ideas. And that's a good thing. -- Curmudgeonly & Skeptical presents Boned Jello

Your Say

Screw Primaries!
Toss the GOPER's into the gladiatorial pit, sans beasties, but armed and we'll find out just who are the pussies.

That will shake out rather fast.

Peccable you are right on the money. I noticed a change during the 2008 Obama/McCain tragedy. GOP voters considered only one thing, which GOP-er was most likely to win, therefore I support X. A lesser version happened in 2000 when GWB looked like he would win therefore GOP voters set about pretending GWB was conservative, "he's from Texas" and "he learned from his dad's mistakes".

Don't permit anyone in your presence to play this game without serious challenge. You can't pick a candidate that won't receive the MSM/DNC attempted media assassination. Who has the smarts, strength, communications to do the right things and explain the reasons?

If you convince yourself the nominee can hit the right combination of the usual check marks and that will lead to victory you are kidding yourself. The only nominee that can win is the one that will puncture media narratives, put the media on the defensive, and can explain why proven techniques can solve problems. If you think there is any candidate that can't receive the usual media hit-job you haven't been paying attention.

...the last man standing I'd like to see is, well, Sarah.
