Obama signs off on SWAT to "Inspect" Gulf Oil Platforms

What in the world does a SWAT team know about a drilling rig? I probably know more about a drilling rig than the average SWAT team member and I'm a middle aged white lady.
I think mr. president likes the powerful feeling he gets by sending SWAT teams to places. Like tea parties.

Wait, what?!? Is that for real?
What in the world can a SWAT team possibly offer in the area of oil rig safety and spill cleanup??
I have a cousin who works as an underwater welder out in the Gulf. I'm pretty dang sure neither he nor any of the other men out there (and it takes some major brass ones to do what he does) need the frickin' SWAT Team to come barging in in full riot gear to show them how to do their jobs. It's dangerous enough without having to literally work under the gun.
