The Brits are SO effin' screwed. US next?:
THOUSANDS of the worst families in England are to be put in "sin bins"€ in a bid to change their bad behaviour, Ed Balls announced yesterday. The Children's Secretary set out £400million plans to put 20,000 problem families under 24-hour CCTV super-vision in their own homes. -- Daily Express

Your Say

You must read the comments to experience the article fully. Western Europeans have been so propagandized into believing that conservatism = fascism that the opinions expressed blame Thatcher and Bush and fear the government that will displace Labour for what their Leftist Labour government is doing to them NOW! It is astonishing.

I'm the Western Chauvinist because I believe in the supremacy of western civilization over all others. So it brings me no happiness to say I believe the UK is a goner. The people are so brainwashed by the Left, they do not recognize the totalitarian impulses of their Leftist government. The U.S. may not be far behind.

You're right about the comments.

Only 10x zoom lenses? How could you do this to Eric? I agree with Western Chauvinist. Pewling, lickspittle cowards. I'd die with a gun in my hand before Uncle Obama would watch my home life through a tax-funded CC camera.

This is of course horrifying, but what level of social deterioration prompted it? At least some of the comments illuminate the horror that is living in this laboratory of Socialism.

Both sides of this story leave the impression that Orwell and Anthony Burgess were optimists. Alas, Albion.

Unless you're a drug drink addled bitch of a mother who beats her kids and generally couldn't give a shit if they sit around watching porn all day at the age of 5 instead of going to school, being sexually abused by the stepdad, that's hugley unlikely AskMom. That is after all the kind of families Mr Balls is talking about of course.

Same paper will be be bemoaning the state of social decline in the very homes that would be monitored by these cameras if they ever pass them into law. Same papers readership would have them shipped off into gas chambers if it could. And naturally you will be telling me you don't have social decline of the same kind in America. Nasty social ills only happen under socialists.

Meanwhile not that I particularly care but the same "pewling, lickspittle" socialists in icky crummy old country Britain have sure chucked enough tax-funded troops your way.

As for the Express commentary. It's now sadly a third rate hyperbolic fear mongering baseless newspaper cluthing at proposals and presenting them as fact. Read mostly by fear mongering haters and third rate uneducated dolts. A far cry from the paper it was when my dad worked for it sadly.

Sure enough the story is a complete tabloid fabrication. The MP was questioned on the report, which only appeared in the Express btw and said it was “complete and total nonsense”. There is pilot scheme being trialled in Bristol for child protection intervention in very serious cases with families "from hell" he replied on Twitter but also went on to say in no way would CCTV be employed in such situations. It’s unclear where the Sunday Express got the idea that families were to be put under 24 hours CCTV surveillance but it has never even been discussed.
