"The Mouth of Sauron" character in The Lord of the Rings is none other than . . . mohammed.
And Peter Jackson depicted mohammed, and Viggo Mortensen cut proxy-mohammed's head off. Ian McKellen spoke to proxy-mohammed with disrespect, and the other actors gave proxy-mohammed the stink eye. I demand that Peter Jackson, Viggo Mortensen, Ian McKellen, all of those other actors, and everyone involved in the LOTR movie trilogy be arrested and charged with blasphemy and charged as accessories to murder. I further demand that J.R.R. Tolkien's body be dug up and his corpse sodomized and desecrated. Oh, and I still demand that I be arrested and charged with both blasphemy and as an accessory to murder, because, after all, my Arabic-subtitled bacon-bookmarked koran burning video is well over a year old and has had over 665,000 views, with Egypt having the most views. Objective evidence points to me having far, far more culpability in all of this than the morons who made the satirical green-screened clip. Where to start? First, I always wondered why the "Mouth of Sauron" sequence which was one of the most spellbinding passages in the book was not included in the movie trilogy. Perhaps if Jackson had deleted all the pointless Liv Tyler love scenes, he could have freed up some celluloid for this much more important scene.
Second, the scene butchers the subtlety of the verbal interplay between Gandalf, Aragorn and the Mouth in the book. Aragorn doesn't behead the Mouth but he and Gandalf send him packing like a cur with some well placed oaths.
Third, Tolkien started the "Lord of The Ring" trilogy during the ascendancy of Communism and Nazism and continued writing through WWII. At the time Islam had been a broken and spent force for 250 years, so I find it highly dubious that Sauron is supposed to be Allah and the Mouth of Sauron is Mohammed. Tolkien himself declared that Sauron is not representative of any person such as Stalin or Hitler, and his influences were Northern European and Old English mythologies, particularly the story of Beowulf, which have nothing to do with Islam.
The only reference to Arab like people in the trilogy are the Haradrim who went into battle with their elephant-like "mumakil" (which is an Arabic plural form) But that is far more likely to be a reference to Hannibal and the Carthaginians, who did in fact use war elephants against Rome
And so Ms Barnhardt, you did nothing here to insult Islam but you did manifest a, shall we say, "hyperfocus" on Islam in which you appear top be reading Islam into everything
