Forget about praising the President for getting these men released, and by the way without paying off the regime or even making concessions on the central issue of the nukes; the Democrat-Mediaites are not even happy for these people as human beings, let alone as Americans. Wait. I take this back; the Leftists were happy and grateful when that great American hero Bowe Bergdahl was released from captivity, but I digress. And then there’s the reaction to the President’s shredding of the Iran Nuke Sellout, whose author and supporters are 180 degrees out of phase with reality. On the granular level, there were so many things wrong with this sham, and concealed from the Legislature that Ben Rhodes crowed about how easy it was to dupe everyone. One shining example was the provision that the US military was obliged to help defend Iran in the event it was attacked. Defend as in shoot down Israeli and/or GCC aircraft.
It boils down to the sad, and potentially dangerous reality that as a nation we are a house divided, perhaps irreparably so (click here for The Other McCain’s column from yesterday). And with a completely corrupt GOP, an unaccountable Leftist Deep State bureaucracy and a judiciary on a knife-edge (although there is good news in that department) and brainwashed youth graduating into the world every June, we’re going to need much more than two terms of PDT. That said, the past 17 months, even with the Mueller-led coup attempt, have been an incredible ride so far. If for no other reason than to see our would be overlords rage-stroke as jobs are created, judges are appointed, regulations are rolled back, lies are debunked, memes are challenged and some semblance of sanity restored. So for that sane part of the nation, we’re still not tired of all the winning. ….
What a massive contrast in administrations. A 2am flight arriving in the US w/hostages from a terrorist regime in order to negotiate a de-nuke plan. Compared to a 2am flight going out of the US w/pallets of cash to a terrorist regime seeking nukes chanting “death to America”

This is indeed excellent news. Trump working for Isreal against Iran and in Syria however, is not.
I’m not tired of winning yet! No more apologies and subservient leadership (paradox?). We are still a beacon of light for others to see, and Trump is showing how it is done.
Know what’s wrong with politicians?
They don’t fear the constituents cause they’re way over there and you’re way over here.
If they were right down the road a piece and you could walk into their office and jack em up against the wall you can bet your bottom dollar they’d pay attention and have some respect for the people that pay their way too lenient wages.
For a year before we moved here I subscribed to the local (weekly) newspaper and read every issue front to back, all 3 pages. heh On the front page of an issue they had a triptych of pix depicting a local politician runnin his jibber on the sidewalk in the town square in broad daylight. Pik 1 showed the boisterous asshole standin on his platform takin that shit with about a dozen people standing around. Pik 2 showed a dood gettin in the poli’s face with a pointed finger. Pik 3 showed that asswipe layin rubber down the sidewalk at a blurred high rate of speed with a couple of locals in hot pursuit. I ran in and showed that set to my wife and said, “I want to live there!”
But alas that was a way too short 12 years ago and american communism is creeping into this area too. The lull of easily attained gov’t money and all it’s entrapments is just too alluring for most criminals it seems. The stupid citizenry that hire these criminals will have made this place unliveable in a few years by sane people. Yes, we are lookin’ around…..
@ghostsniper: For that reason, I automatically distrust *any* politician operating above the County level. If you can’t easily access your local representative, they’re not representing you.

How could any politician be respected? To get ANYTHING accomplished the politician must ‘give’ something in return. And yes, local county and town politicians are also, politicians. They stink as skunks stink.
I cringe when I see the Feds making block grants to States or for municipalities, because “that’s where they can best identify where to spend the money.”
Now, while I’m glad to not have the Feds spend my money, I am too familiar with my state, county, and city governments (and Development Authority, and School District, etc.) to feel that the money will be spent in the “right” places not involving the pockets of the favored.
I’d rather that the Feds not take my money in the first place.
