This is an excellent collection, but the individual articles turned out unsatisfactory. Intellectuals? David Brooks and George Will for the conservatives, and Bill Nye for the Science cabal. Seriously.
Disagreeing with the leftist’s major narrative seems hard to pin, today. Maybe I need more fuel; either coffee not consumed this morning, or a strong Scotch tonight. Anyway, the left is so aimless anymore, I can find their major fault line, but they won’t cop to it out of pure ignorance and not cunning. What does the room think?
In the end, I enjoyed the culture stuff the best, and maybe that’s for the best. A leggy athlete, and two golden Hollywood stars seem to have my interests today.
    Thanks, Gerard.

A wealth of links, which I haven’t yet enjoyed. One I did try is a bad link, that’s the Morakniv Companion. The correct link should be:
    http://kk.org/cooltools/morakniv-companion-fixed-blade-knife/

I really really like the new site; but where I used to spend a half-hour to an hour here, now I could spend all day! Is this a feature or a bug?

A feature, for sure! Now to find some more hours to cram into my day….

On a more important note, the legs seem sufficient to reach all the way down.

Noted, Cletus. And thanks for the heads-up, Eskyman. Fixed the link.

The tiny hand soaps are both cute and jarring. Kinda like those birthday cakes that look like your dog. Who wants to slice into a cake that looks like your dog? Or wash your hands with tiny baby fingers? The creepier side of free markets. Not a condemnation, just sayin’.

Lisina’s legs may or may not be as long as Lisitsa’s, but Lisitsa can really play the piano.

The Morakniv is another variant of the ever Mora knives.
Cheap tang that will get you in trouble and cheap stainless steel that is worse than trouble.

The author is correct when he claims a fixed blade is better than a folder unless he’s comparing this cheap knock-off to my Gerber Quick Draw in which the Gerber will outlast and outperform the cheapster all the time. Don’t waste your time or money or worse.

If you’re low on coin go look up Mora knives and decide what you will.
Otherwise, for about $40 a Gerber will set you free. I’ve been carrying and using them for many years and live by them. Prior to Gerbers I carried Bucks for decades. I still have my Bucks but they mostly stay in the drawer or on the bench.

If you ever find yourself walking in the medium of I-5 just outside of Los Banos keep your eyes peeled for a Buck 112 I lost there one night while sleeping as it fell out of my pocket and I didn’t notice till hours later after I had hit the road again. It had already had many miles on it and after this much time I imagine it would be heavily tarnished and the wood would be gone. But I carried that knife in my right ass pocket in every parachute jump I ever did and it has some sentimental value to me, so if you find it I will give you 10 crisp C-notes for it’s exchange. I’ll mount it just the way it is over the mantle with my grandpappy’s winchester model 12 and my pappy’s winchester model 71, I promise.
