Reminds me of that lyric from Big Yellow Taxi, “Don’t it always seem to go you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.”
So many know what the cost of a given thing is, but have no idea as to its value.

Europe is going the way of Notre Dame. They may finally tell us how that fire started and maybe it is not as suspected that some recent Muslim immigrant did it, maybe it will be a true accident. But in the months before Notre Dame burned Muslim immigrants did in fact commit over a thousands acts of “hate” against Christian churches in France. If Notre Dame had not caught fire that stunning fact/statistic would have remained secret. The French authorities were keeping it secret. THAT is the way Europe is going. If you live another 20 years you will think back in astonishment that we did nothing and that the authorities hid the attacks, racism, rapes and other hate crimes that this new diversity was visiting on Europe. When Europe is burning and it’s history and culture is being destroyed and replaced we will all wonder; “how could that have happened? Why didn’t anyone stop it?” While you ponder this look at our own Southern borders…
Anon’s comment leads me to ponder if perhaps; perhaps, after occupation and education, bring states such as New York, Washington and California and the district of Columbia back in to the Republic, perhaps it’s time to shake out and reapply the Monroe Doctrine, perhaps expand it, perhaps pick up the civilized man’s burden, perhaps, after occupation and education, add more states to our great nation, perhaps create The Unite States Of All Of The Americas, from sea to shining sea, from Barrow to Tierra Del Fuego.
