I have contended for over 30 years out #1 enemy are the teacher’s unions. Their century+ long goals of undermining our traditions, history and culture were realized with the election of Obama. In a country populated by critical thinkers, Obama would have been laughed off the stage. Instead he was lionized. Once he had the power, he set about destroying our once hallowed institutions. He nominated lesbians to the SC, his other judicial picks are atrocious, he destroyed the officers corps in out military branches, infected the DOJ with marxists, set about to destroy our energy sources and make us dependent on worthless wind/solar boondoggles, set up our intelligence agencies to spy on us, instituted massive regulations on the market…I could do this all day…

Not all parents can remove their children from public schools. When I lived in CO, I witnessed what can happen when a county regains control of the school board. I also saw the national outrage of the teacher’s unions brought into play against the people that pay their salaries for daring to question what they were teaching.
Jesse is absolutely right, the victories of winning school boards is the first step back. Crawling into a hole and pulling the door shut behind you isn’t the solution. The teachers’ unions were patient, we won’t win back what they’ve stolen in my lifetime but it’s a start.

The first thing you gotta understand is that very parents these days send their kids to the public schools for an education. The proof of this is that the quality of the education available at the public schools is very dismal. If parents are really concerned about education for their kids they will do something other than send to the public schools.
The real reason so many parents send their kids to the public schools is for their use as Daycare Centers. Places that store kids while their parents do other things. This habit has been going on for more than 40 years so it’s not really possible for any adult in the US to not know this.
Therefore, wrestling with the schoolboards is mostly meaningless as long as they provide a Daycare Center most parents can tolerate. How do you think got the way there are if this isn’t true?
