They tried communalism and it didn’t work.
Socialism was ditched in order to stave off famine.
Squanto knew what crops could grow in the soil being a local.
It’s always a good thing to escape the land of spotted dick pudding and no ice cubes.

And all of that devolved into a buffet blitzkrieg food orgy among people that you can’t stand followed by hive insanity over the latest hecho en China baubles at the temples of consumerism.

My wife Carole, is a direct descendent of William Bradford, 2nd Gov of Plymouth Colony. Was actually on the second ship with the Mayflower named “ “The Speedwell”, the speedwell did not make the voyage due to poor condition of the vessel,,,,, kept almost sinking.

They loaded everybody on the Mayflower for the Atlantic crossing.

That was pretty good. Reminds me of the “drunk history” series. I’ve watched dozens of them but that was over ten years ago. Here’s one I just found about the Salem witch trials. This is almost kinky. Always narrated by extremely inebriated drunk people. See if you can find Tesla complaining about Edison. That one was hilarious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALmIsdiVajo

Thank you for letting me know about James O’Flannery and his wonderful YouTube channel. You mentioned him a while back. I checked out his channel and found it wonderful. I don’t give a rats ass about the French Revolution and didn’t know very much about it. I watched his video on the French Revolution. It’s an hour and half long. I watched the whole thing. That video is absolutely wonderful. He reminds me of a cross between Ken Burns, the old original Civil War Ken Burns not the later virtue signaling victimologist Ken Burns, Monty Python, and oddly enough Pat Buchanan’s grandfather who I never met or knew or know anything about but I would only imagine and assume would be as crusty and as curmudgeonly as the wonderful professor O’Flannery. He really needs to get more views on YouTube. Thanks again and I have been enjoying your site very much.
