EXCLUSIVE: ‘I’ve Been Scared Every Day’: Seattle Resident Speaks Out About Life On The Border Of CHAZ

“I’ve been scared every day since Sunday, and I haven’t gotten a lot of sleep. For the first time in my life in Capitol Hill, I hear gunshots every single night. I’ve heard people screaming every single night outside. And they’re not protest screams … I’ve also heard screams of terror out there, and I don’t know what’s happening out there.”

Back in the dark ages of the middle seventies, I was running with a rather louche group of coasties, headquartered on a beachfront house out in Santurce, along the way to the San Juan airport, and mercifully upwind of that sinister looking four foot diameter concrete elbow pipe which would upon random dates and times rumble mightily and spew a torrent of rawish sewage into the Atlantic, which the trade wind driven current would then distribute down on the tourist hotel beaches of the Condado.

The core of the group were radiomen, by repute at best an odd lot. Their deal was frequent psychomycologically enhanced adventuring; flying hang gliders on the hills above Fajardo, surfing the beaches around Aguadilla when they could grab a hop on a helo or Herc, taking in various damned near hallucinitorily (weird when sober as a judge, imagine how they looked to THEM) bizzaro fiestas and ephemeral phenomena, like rowing a boat through a starless, glass smooth phosphorescent bay.

Let me assure you, wherever our bunch went, they did so in vivid style, in an old Peugeot holding between four and nine young lads in varying degrees and qualities of intoxication, only one of whose four doors locked, the others tied closed in Bristol fashion, crude roof rack piled high with kites and boards, which started out a respectable Gallic Blue but had been over time been transformed into a rather poorly executed copy of one of those Calder Art Cars. How any of us, much less all of us, made it through all those misadventures is truly beyond my ken. Apart from a few potshots directed one’s way while working on certain navigation aids in suspect neighborhoods of metro San Juan by some particularly mediocre Independista wannabe marksmen one was then in little danger (events a few years later were to prove that they were, eventually, capable of hitting a bus}, the locals were a friendly lot, barring those, it seemed, of a particular NuYorican stripe. All of their hospitality and kindnesses was perhaps the children of Borinquen paying ahead the monstrous debt to be accrued when the Guardian Mariners were inflicted upon me in 2003.

Regarding Fajardo, the BMC in charge of the Loran Station there was a legend- one of my buddies had been transferred off the San Juan based buoy tender over to said station, and he arrove onboard during a week when the YN1 was on leave, so he wandered the station for days with no direction until in desperation he sought out the Chief, seeking a purpose to his life, or at least for the few months until he was to report to “A” school. After considerable reflection, involving ritualistic imbibing of medicinal brandy, profound chin stroking, and harrumphing, the Chief arose and in his most Delphic manner stated that last time he was walking the grounds he noticed that the garden was getting a bit weedy, and it was his judgment that Fireman _______ would henceforth be the station gardener. This was a high honor indeed, though lately fallen into desuetude owing to the giant multi-unit bust of GANTSEC personnel some months before, which as I rolled in from Cape May mere days afterward was to have me erroneously cast as an undercover Coast Guard Intelligence agent to the minds of my shipmates. Hell, I was bounced off the San Juan base mere days after reporting, and I had specifically chosen the base, not the cutter, with me finishing first in my boot class and thus picking a duty station first, and after wintering over in Joizy, small boat ops in the Caribbean sounded about right. Alas, that was not to be. It was weeks before anybody on the ship even barely began to accept me, but in the fulness of time all was made right with the world. In any event, after LORSTA Fajardo lost a number of personnel to incarceration elsewhere, the BMC gathered the demoralized remnant together to read the riot act, which he did in Churchillian manner, to wit, “Alright you bastards, I’ve tried to treat you assholes as adults, but you’ll obviously have nothing to do with that. Oh, no, we just can’t have it easy, can we? Well, you’ve done it now! I have no choice! You shitheads are going…to have to STOP smoking…so much…DOPE…ON WATCH!”)

I provide the preceding vignettes only to establish one salient hypothesis…as fried as those boys ever got, and we’re talking $0.79 a fifth Don Q rum from the BX, psilocybe cubensis tea in gallon jugs, peyote, LSD , and on those rare occasions when the Jamaican Freak Bros. were holding something good for anything much beyond making spaghetti, a little weed… I don’t believe they ever got anywhere near as fucked in the head as presently seems to be obtain among a rather sizable segment of our fellow citizens (and other assorted cultural enrichers of whatever legal status). I see that Talcum X (Shaun King) has this day issued a fatwa on Caucasoid representations of Jesus.

Adios, Pieta, we barely knew ya. Think of all the churches to be smashed and burned, the art to be defaced, why it gives one that Republican Spanish frisson at the prospect of raping and murdering nuns! To the barricades, comrades!

Wow, guy needs a blurred out face and distorted voice to speak out about his own neighborhood? Well partner, the Democrats campaign is basically, ” hey, you want this to stop? Vote for us. ” So go ahead and keep your current Mayor, Governor in place and pray they send their Antifa slugs home, where ever that might be.

Maybe it’s me. If I hear a terrifying scream outside a window I’m gonna grab a shotgun and maybe a pistol and go investigate and find out what it was. This occurred a few night ago under the deck out back but I knew what it was because I’ve heard it before so there was no reason to go full alert. It was at least 2 raccoons and they were either fighting or fukkin – both sound about the same to me.

But yeah, if I hear anything, anything at all, after dark around here guns will be readied and an investigator will mount immediately. The closest neighbor is at least 600 feet away and there is no reason in the world for someone to be on our property after dark. Ever.

I can’t even imagine the horror of a brain handicapped cuck hunkering down in shear terror hoping the danger will pass him by. What’s that old saying? A man dies once but a coward dies a thousand times?

That anarchy stuff’s a real bitch, ain’t it man? Well, get used to it. They’re here and they’re queer….lol

  • jwm June 22, 2020, 7:23 PM

I’ve done type & delete about five times, now. I’m trying to get past saying, “Nuke the Bastards”.
Capitol Hill, I’m told, is Seattle’s gay neighborhood. This guy is probably typical: homosexual, left/liberal in his politics, and tolerant about everything except Trump, and Jesus. Not an ally. Nonetheless I really do feel sorry for him. As much as I disagree with libs, and lefties, I believe most of them hold some wrong-headed, pie-in-the-sky notion of making the world a better place. These “activists” as the reporter call them are not liberals, nor even lefties. They’re militant nihilists. This bunch seeks only to destroy, to un-make the Good the True and the Beautiful. I’m gonna’ channel a little Barnhardt here. These are the Un-Makers, servants of the Beast. You’re seeing Satanic evil walk the Earth again. We’ve been in apocalyptic times since 9/11/’01. You’re watching the Reckoning come to pass. Two hundred and some odd years back it was France. A hundred years and change back it was Russia, followed close by Germany. It had a good run in Cambodia half a century ago. Now it’s our turn. Choose whom you serve.

So, you marched in protest of the George Floyd incident? Sorry pal, that ain’t good enough for the bunch in CHAZ. You hafta join in the destruction of western civilization if you want to be left alone.

  • Gnawbone Jack June 23, 2020, 2:16 AM

“Left alone”? There is no “Left alone” when evil walks the earth, especially when it’s camped outside your door. Welcome to Desolation Row…

  • Cascadian June 23, 2020, 7:43 AM

First they paint the rainbow crosswalk, next thing you know the whole neighbourhood is filled with shit and burnt out buildings.
If they paint a rainbow crosswalk its time to leave.

  • Harry June 23, 2020, 10:23 AM

What I keep wondering, after listening to the first half of the video, is whether this guy, and all of the other liberal/progressives who are now scared due to what their insane policies have wrought, have learned anything. And if so, will they adjust their politics accordingly, basing them on reality rather than utopianism?
It’s not so much fun when the policies you inflict on those others for their own good show up in your own neighborhood.

Is there any evidence the area got an extra strong dose of The Fukushima ?
    Might explain some stuff…

“I peacefully protested the death of George Floyd. This is different.” No, it isn’t. This really is your world. You took down fences without ever first asking why they were put up. Worse, you believed they were put up for the wrong reasons. Own what comes through. And stop crying. Pretend you are a man until you become one.

  • Deana June 23, 2020, 12:50 PM

I too feel for this man because he obviously is rattled by this sudden appearance of reality. Reality is quite terrifying when one has sailed through life believing the fairy tales our progressive friends have told us. He must feel like his life just crashed into a brick wall.

I wish him no harm. But I do hope this has clarified a few things for him and from here forward he votes against authoritarianism.

  • Vanderleun June 23, 2020, 2:29 PM

I hope so too,m Deana. But even if he does his demographic says he will have to do it secretly.

That trembling jellyfish lacks the self-awareness that it is he and his ilk who form the sea in which the barbarians conspire, from within which they attack, and into which they retreat when they sense that they cannot overwhelm their target.

I don’t feel sorry for that pussy or any other of his friends or any other lost cause who lives in these areas of the many cities in the US and who support the struggle of the Left to destroy what good men and women have made.

They, along with pedophiles and other perverts, sold their souls for the oxymoronic notion of homosexual and beastial pleasures in a rainbow world. They refuse to look at themselves and rant when others do.

John Prine’s line….”and Jesus Christ died for nothing, I suppose..” fits these useless subhuman men and women, their transexual associates and all of these marxist anarchists like a noose and it’s going to get tighter and tighter. They are aware but the simply will not admit that they, individually and collectively represent the very thing that has worked so insidiously to destroy the country.

I don’t feel sorry for them. I loathe them. Do what is necessary to get rid of them and let God sort them out.
