Useful Idiots of The Ancien Régime **

Silicon Valley’s Tech Elites Have Financed A Democratic Party That May Hang Them. A socialist movement is even percolating among Silicon Valley tech employees, many of whom see little opportunity to amass enough wealth to buy a house in the exorbitant Bay Area. Like those French aristocrats who backed revolutionary ideas in the late-eighteenth century only to find themselves riding tumbrels through angry crowds, tech elites have spent a fortune promoting a “woke” politics that is turning against them. They may not lose their heads, but they could find their riches fleeced by former allies. It couldn’t happen to a more deserving, self-involved, and cognitively gifted group of . . .  well, idiots.

The tumbril creaks and rumbles on
Upon the road of Slate,
Retracing rutted years of sand
Whose Distance storms Debate.

Its passengers stand fixed as stone
While faces cheer from Snow.
The Blade awaits its midday meal,
When Above becomes Below.

Innovations carved from clouds
Give despair and dance New measures.
The Blade reflects its evening meal
When kings slake lower pleasures.

Arrived at Hope they gaze on mist
Where granite horses roam.
Their schedules as fixed as Dark.
Their future — White as bone.

The head within the basket sees
Vast Parliaments of sky.
Its ears hear only fading surf
Where the past lost years reply.

** The Ancien R馮ime was the monarchic, aristocratic, social and political system established in the Kingdom of France from approximately the 15th century until the latter part of the 18th century (“early modern France”) under the late Valois and Bourbon dynasties. The term is occasionally used to refer to the similar feudal social and political order of the time elsewhere in Europe. The administrative and social structures of the Ancien Regime were the result of years of state-building, legislative acts (like the Ordinance of Villers-Cotterets), internal conflicts and civil wars, but they remained a confusing patchwork of local privilege and historic differences until the French Revolution ended the system.

I’d like to say I’ve learned something more about the French this past year. I’ve never been there and I want to go visit, but not without a huge note of caution. I’m sure Ghostie would say never go into any kind of crowd, and f-ing France is the worlds most crowdy type of crowd. A crowd with teeth. A crowd with a mission. A democracy!

Is that better than a socialist system? The contradictions of the two are so ripe for disaster it boggles the mind. but the smart group here sees all that. Democracy: the unruly crowd. Socialism: the very well ruled crowd.

If you own a “yellow vest,” you are by definition in the middle class. You own or operate a car! Gas taxes have meaning to you! Not exactly the best crowd for a socialist upheaval – those cretans want the underclass to rise up against the middle class. Yellow Vest has been the people versus the fuckgarcs.

Yes to Nancy and Chucky in the hallway looking old and outdated. It is a recipe for revolution. First, the dems can split over age, and this will be the first light we will have seen in that party of evil for a long time. The GOPe is already split over trump vs not-Trump, but hopefully Trump will be stronger by far than the politicos. He looks to have a strong spine on the shutdown and the wall, for the most part.

When Trump came on the scene, I told myself I’d swallow a lot of things he’d say that I’d disagree with, but somehow we needed a wrecking ball and we needed it immediately. Wreck, wreck, carnage, wreck. Beat Washington with a bat.

The wall’s a start. If you were never in the military, don’t start in on the effectiveness of walls. Your opinion is shit. A wall is an obstacle to channelize the other guy, and is maintained by overwatching fire. If you cannot produce a barrier at all, you’re not even in the game.

Congress is my pet name for stupidity. We have to be congress, now. I don’t know for sure how I mean that. Laws matter, but the moral force of congress is gone. If they won’t do it, I’ll have to.

Hum, in the article title reads The Ancien Régime with a “é”
The Wikipedia link reads The Ancien R馮ime was the monarchic, aristocratic, social and political system with a the kanji “馮 ” replacing the French “é”.

The kanji 馮 could be a proper name in Japanese or Chinese or, in Japanese it might translate as displeasure.

Typo or is Gerard including a hidden meaning for those with the Captain Marvel decoder ring? You be the judge. -grin-

Here ya go. Plans from original equipment maker in the Old World. Can be much simplified and cheaper/easier to build with Yankee ingenuity for sure.

Demand for units as shown to be very high in the near future within the USA.

Lifting Nancy’s head from the basket…
“A Poll Tax OK?”. She nods her head.
“Literacy test all right?”. She nods her head.
“Voting in national elections reserved for Natural Born US Citizens sound good?”. She nods her head vigorously.

Obviously now, They are among us, in the form of the brain-drained tag-team of Pelosi and Schumer. P & S each evolving from dumbkopf to dungkopf delights the gagging, screaming audience of citizens. The heavens explode in bafflement! Did Adam and Eve eat from the Tree of Knowledge or from rotten road-kill?

    Welcome back Casey.
What a fucking embarrassment the American “leadership” has become, on both sides. Look what 200 years of glacially slow communist creep has done. The creep has been so slow most people are still unaware of it. Ugly tyrants at the top and fawning sows at the bottom and all ignorant to their ignorance. We had it all and then pissed it away.

Surely there’s some navy ships in the inventory needing mothballed.
If the gov’t is good at anything it is good at throwing stolen money at anything and everything.
Round up as many mothballed ships as needed, load em to the gunwales with surly tyrants and tow them 3000 miles out into the discarded plastic centered Pacific and let the F35’s turn them into coral reefs at 10,000 ft of depth. You don’t get more gone than that.

Probably, Ghosty, there are enough people who would pay good money to see that show to make some excursion boats economically viable and there’s always pay-per-view.

Alternatively, there’s all them Chinese container ships going home empty and all those empty Chinese containers piled up over here that we don’t make enough stuff the Chinese want to justify shipping them back. Torch cut a few holes to let air escape and fill ’em up and jettison overboard on the way back. Pretty sure the Chinese would be agreeable and God knows they work cheap. I’ll underwrite one, who else is in?

  • ghostsniper January 13, 2019, 8:25 AM

    H went there.
Now he gets the extended view.
This is based upon Black’s Law Dictionary definition of justice: “To make the victim(s) whole.”

What are the guilty to be charged with?
    Assault on natural rights.

    What is the justice?
    Punishment & Restitution.

The punishment and restitution will be achieved at the same time.
All of the criminals will be subject to a sentence consisting of dollars owed.
All of the criminals will be given the opportunity to work at supervised manual labor jobs at minimum wages all of which will go toward the sentence levied. A per diem amount of dollars must be earned by the criminals and any monies earned by them over and above that amount will be held in a canteen account on their behalf. When each criminal has paid his sentence he will be released back into society without prejudice.

But ghost, what if they refuse to work?

If any criminal refuses to work for the duration of the sentence, they will be stripped naked, a steel chain will be mechanically fastened around their neck and the chain will be mechanically attached to a 12′ long x 4″ diameter steel stake driven into the earth in the middle of a large, unoccupied piece of land far away from any metropolis with no shelter from the elements. Criminals will be given no water, food, or medical attention and their behavior will be continuously video streamed to a website where viewers can pay a a fee (hourly- $1, daily- $10, weekly – $20, monthly- $30, yearly- $100) to view the site. It is estimated that attitude adjustment will occur within a 1 hour to 72 hour term in all cases of refusal to comply.

If this process of justice was implemented and levied immediately all monies received from these actions in total will be divided amongst the paying taxpayers for each preceding year.

    Example:
If 100mil people (not corporations) paid money for income taxes in 2018, at the end of 2019 all monies received from this process will be divided among those 100mil taxpayers.

If $100mil is collected then each taxpayer will receive $1.
If $100bil is collected then each taxpayer will receive $1,000.

Yes, you can get blood from a turnip, the IRS does it all day, everyday of the year, for more than a century with no end in sight.
