Strange Daze: Tyger Tyger, burning bright, In the forests of the night; What immortal hand or eye, Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

Give Thanks That the Left Is Losing  As you dig into your expensive turkey after having spent a ton of cash filling up your SUV to get to grandma’s for Thanksgiving dinner, take heart. We’re winning. Yeah, I know – conservatives are Eeyore/Cure fan centaurs, always ready to see the despair, always ready to detect the doom coming at us. And let’s not sugar-coat it – there’s a lot of bad stuff going on. Our alleged president is only allegedly mentally competent. His understudy is a half-wit who got with Montel Williams. His party wants to spend trillions we don’t have and is convinced that printing more money cures inflation. The media is garbage. Academia is garbage. Hollywood is garbage. The Lincoln Project is garbage that is still taking Kyle whacking the convicted pedo personally. Fauci remains unfired; the supply chain remains kinked. And China is looking at Taiwan like Brian Stelter, who is a potato, looks at a Golden Corral steam table. And yet, the tide is turning.

Kamala Goes Back to Calling Biden a Racist How else is the Biden administration supposed to defend its least popular figure? And in an administration that includes a president who gropes small children, a defense secretary who focused on critical race theory while Afghanistan fell, a transportation secretary who took a two month vacation during a transportation crisis, a windsurfing traitor, a mass-murdering version of Klinger, and a health secretary whose only health experience is persecuting journalists who exposed the baby parts ring of his abortion allies, being the most unpopular is an achievement.

Don Surber: Branch Covidians ramp up the fear again The Branch Covidians preach salvation through masks and vax. Anyone who opposes their masks and social distancing is anti-science, which makes them feel smug. That is the emotion that today’s university-educated crowd like most. Some would dismiss their plumber as just high school educated, even though they don’t know which way the wrench goes.

NO SHIT SHERLOCK? Arctic Ocean Began Warming Decades Earlier than Previously Thought New research shows the Arctic Ocean began warming decades earlier than previously thought. This new information means climate models currently used are incorrect. An inconvenient truth if you will. The new information throws into question how much of a role, if any, human-caused climate change played in this earlier than thought Arctic warming. Put another way – nobody knows nothing.

Raconteur Report: Rot In Hell, You Woketard M*****f***ing Bastards I understand the reticence of acknowledging that Satan’s Army is now overrun by Marxist Critical Race Theory. Suck it up, buttercup. No one who demands you self-flagellate because of your skin color is your friend, nor is preaching any part of the gospel of Christ. They’re preaching the gospel of Karl Marx. To Hell with them all, because that’s where their message originates.

American bureaucracy is bigger than ever. The growth of administrators in every field outpaces that of ordinary workers, clients, and products produced. No single decree from a scowling boss in Moscow turned a booming nation of individualists into a timid managerial state with endless rules that apply to every facet of work and everyday life. It was the slow accumulation of individual inertia, cultural safetyism, and crises, real and manufactured, that fossilized into a state of permanent administration.

The hunger of the administrative state for more power and the natural insecurities of its wards gave us everything from the welfare state to universal masking. The shutdowns and mandates of the pandemic are only the latest inevitable development from a system that reacts to every crisis with collective panics that transfer power from the public to unelected bureaucrats. Whatever the details of a crisis, its primary function is to generate more regulations and more overseers to see everyone follows them.

Transgender Girl Scout Leader Under Investigation After Dominatrix Photo is Discovered A leader of the Girl Guides, the British equivalent of the girl scouts, has been revealed as a dominatrix, posting disgusting and obscene pictures on his social media profile. 58-year-old Monica Sulley oversees the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers in Nottinghamshire after being appointed to that post in July. Feminists have pointed to pictures of Sulley, one dressed as a dominatrix, and another holding a fake rifle, and a third showing off what this mentally-ill man calls his “boobs,” as reasons of distress for this individual to serve in this post.

“The World Health Organization appeared to skip two letters in the Greek alphabet when it announced Friday the name for the latest coronavirus variant, which was first identified in South Africa.  “Nu and Xi were apparently the next letters in the Greek alphabet that have yet to be used for a variant, according to data on their website.” The reason for this is as easy as A, B, E. Nu sounds like new. As for Xi, well, Chairman XI could get the Romans to drop their No. 11.

A Large Regular: I Stand with Peng Shuai

Control: this is the story of the times. Across the world, we are seeing an unprecedented claim to control staked by the forces of the state, in alliance with the forces of corporate capital, over your life and mine. All of it converges on the revealed symbol of our age: the smartphone-enabled QR code that has, with frightening speed and in near-silence, become the new passport to a full human life. As ever, our tools have turned on us. Another revelation: they were never our tools to begin with. We were theirs. —  Paul Kingsnorth, “The Vaccine Moment: Part One”

Vulture Bees Feed on Dead Flesh Rather Than Nectar, Still Produce Sweet Honey

The left always has plans: “But take it we will” – The New Neo The rhetoric of Socialism/Communism has intrinsic appeal to certain groups of people and some members of each group are always likely to fall under its spell: the guilt-ridden wealthy and/or their even-more-guilt-ridden spawn, the poor who feel they’ve been screwed by society, the politically and economically naive intelligentsia who feel they know better than others, the religious and/or idealistic who want everyone to be loving and good and selfless, and those who just like the idea of power and control over others and plan to be the ones in charge.

Transgender people are some of the bravest Americans I know,” Biden declared (yes, he really said that) . Trannies “deserve freedom, justice, and joy,” and Biden assured a roomful of men in dresses that he’ll continue to fight for their “equality and civil rights.” Sadly, nobody in the room applauded, as half the attendees were giving fellatio under the tables, and the other half were yelling at a parrot for misgendering them.

Maurice Monk was a 45-year-old mentally ill black man. And he didn’t care for masks. Back in June, he refused to wear one on a city bus, so he was arrested. The irony is, with Oakland’s liberal criminal justice policies, if he’d assaulted someone, he’d have been let go with a citation. But not wearing a mask? No mercy. He was held for several months in a mental institution and finally transferred to a regular jail. His family was prevented from getting him his meds…because enforcing mask mandates is all about keeping people healthy! Last week he died alone in his cell.

Kyle Rittenhouse, Both Right and Righteous | While Rittenhouse’s decision to go to Kenosha may have been unwise, it was also unselfish and, indeed, brave. He was risking his life in a riot to defend another man’s property and do his civic duty in a situation of lawlessness. He could have stayed home, as almost everyone in Kenosha did that night, while their city was burned and pillaged. And what were the motives and goals of Joseph Rosenbaum, the child rapist and ex-con, and Anthony Huber, who wielded the skateboard? What were they doing in Kenosha, if not helping to sustain a criminal riot to destroy property Rittenhouse had come to defend?

Trump weathered the relentless wall-to-wall assault on him by being a rather successful president: illegal immigration and unemployment were almost eliminated, oil imports ended, and for the first time in any serious jurisdiction, the lower twenty percent of income-earners were gaining income in percentage terms more quickly than the top ten percent. — Conrad Black

Covid gives weasels like Fauci unprecedented power. They can imprison people in their own homes. There is no incentive for the Branch Covidians to return us to normal.>>>>

And what better way to illustrate their total contempt of the Sheeple, than to come up with some fabricated name such as “omicron”. I’m sure it’s an absolute coincidence, that the word is an anagram for MORONIC.

Additionally, since they’ve been using the Greek alphabet in naming these variants, why did they skip Xi? Don’t want to piss-off their Chinese communist overlords?

William Blake and his damn “tyger” once occupied my thoughts marvelously. Spending years doing walkabouts in the jungles south of the Rio Grande will do this to a man. His “tyger” was never—and could never be—far from my mind. I met Blake’s beast up close and personal several times. Once at an encampment of agricultural workers in Northern Guatemala a few days walk from the ruins of Tikal I was told of a worker who had some bad luck—as in very bad luck—with a puma. He had been killed and partially eaten by the cat. But since Tikal is a cash cow for the Guatemalan government, the incident was covered up. Can’t let all those foreign tourists and their dollars avoid Tikal because of a man-eater or two now can we?

The likely killer was Felis concolor. He is one handsome animal—from a distance—a well and true “tyger, tyger burning bright.”

Blake was also an artist, usually using ink and watercolor. Here is his Nebuchadnezzar II, he of Babylon fame. He was a bit of a braggart:

“Is this not Babylon the Great that I myself have built as a royal residence by my mighty power and for the honor of my majesty?”—Daniel 4:30

Such arrogance did not sit well with God, who condemned Nebuchadnezzar to go on all fours and eat grass.

“And he was driven from men and ate grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven until his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers and his nails like birds’ claws.”—Daniel 4:33

    https://www.canvastar.com/Uploads/UrunResimleri/buyuk/william-blake-nebuchadnezzar-art-print–46d9-.jpg

So just to be safe, never go alone in the jungle or you might meet Blake’s “tyger”. And never put yourself above God or you might find yourself on all fours eating grass—like a vegan.

If you like stories about human encounters with big cats, here’s a mystery/true crime story from the August issue of Texas Monthly: The Hood County sheriff’s office put out a news release in December 2020 to the effect that a missing person found dead in some underbrush had been killed by a mountain lion. Which soon touched off a controversy between the gumshoes and the game wardens as to whether the deceased had been killed by Puma concolor or Homo sapiens:

      https://www.texasmonthly.com/news-politics/mountain-lion-christopher-whiteley/

I suspect the real moral of the story is “Don’t mess with Texas.”

      • Mike Austin November 29, 2021, 12:07 PM

Now that is a great “who done it”! Not a mountain lion, ok. And a weird crime scene if a homicide. Whatever killed Whitely might never be known.

    • James ONeil November 29, 2021, 1:58 PM

As I understand it Blake drew his Nebuchadnezzar, etc., wrote in the words, backwards, of course, on copper plate with a ink resist, then etched the plates in an acid bath, printed the plates and colored the prints with watercolor washes.

BTW; I content there’s been a vowel shift since he wrote Tiger, that in his day eye and symmetry rhymed:

      What immortal hand or eye
      Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

      • Mike Austin November 29, 2021, 2:38 PM

There you go again, James, showing off. You are a cruel man.

        • James ONeil November 30, 2021, 10:21 AM

Cruel? No, I see both you and me as gentle, kind nice guys, as spreaders of nothing but the milk of human kindness.

After all, neither you nor I ever put a turned on, buzzing, jiggling, battery powered dildo that he and he both knew where it had been, in the desk drawer of a friend as did G____ V____.

Shucky darn the worst I did, as a boy and a bit camp counseling, was put a six foot rattle snake in my friend’s bunk. Hey, he was dead, and I cut his head off. The snake was dead, not my friend, he was sleeping, and I’d cut the snake’s head off, not my friends, you understand.

Yep, wez both the nice guys!

          • Mike Austin November 30, 2021, 10:59 AM

I hate practical jokes, but a guy I knew in the USAF Medical barracks did not. He hated this airman—who, it must be said, was a veritable asshole—and planned this: Ho took a long sewing needle, put the dull end into a wad of chewed gum and stuck it into the airman’s boots with the needle pointing towards the heel. Hours later when the asshole put on his boots…well, there was Hell to pay.

Sometime when I am sure that the statute of limitations is up, I’ll tell you what I did to this obnoxious prick of a captain who dedicated his life to tormenting me. He came into the ER one day to get an injection. I gave it to him. Enough for now.

      • gwbnyc November 30, 2021, 12:58 AM

the vowel shift was about done around his birth. I think perhaps poetic license, but that is pure unfouded conjecture on my part.

    • Jack November 29, 2021, 3:25 PM

As a life long hunter with a special interest man eating pussy cats and a few of the notables who have hunted them, I will suggest to you that your Central American man eater is a puma or, more likely a jaguar and not a tiger because the noble tiger doesn’t live in that part of the world. And neither do leopards.

      • Mike Austin November 29, 2021, 4:52 PM

True that. Those Guatemalan workers called those big cats “tigres”. I took poetic license to play with Blake’s “tyger”. Not scientifically accurate of course, but it was the best I could manage. The only large cat I saw was in the Corcovado rain forest of Costa Rica. He tried to grab one of my students while we were backpacking on the beach. The cat failed to get the boy, but succeeded in scaring the shit out of me.

The jaguar was a sacred symbol of the Maya. Many of their kings had “jaguar” in their name, such as “Jaguar Paw”. This unlucky ruler was killed near—wait for it—Tikal around 400 AD. The word “puma” is a Quechua word, and the puma himself was a sacred beast to the Inca. The Indigenous still hunt big cats all through Central and South America. I took this photo in 1987 while staying at a Choco village in the Darien jungles of Panama:

so the jaguar orders a shot of whiskey, one of the Mayans pours it and says “that’ll be eighty dollars, and by the way we don’t get many jaguars in here-” the jaguar replies, “at eighty bucks a shot this is some kind of mystery?”

        • Jack November 30, 2021, 7:09 AM

We know volumes of information about the various North American Indian tribes but comparatively, not so much on the Central and South American tribes. Apocalypto was a great movie and I suspect that based upon what we do know, it may be a near perfect portrayal of what they were and what they were all about. Big cat killing scenes are hard to shoot and Mel Gibson did a remarkable job with his; the only problem being that his cat was far too slow. Those cats move with the speed approximate speed of light.

          • Mike Austin November 30, 2021, 10:51 AM

I have seen perhaps more Mayan ruins than anyone outside of a very few professional archeologists. Some of these are buried deep in the jungles of the Petén in Northern Guatemala and take many days of backpacking to get to.

            http://mikeaustin.org/guatemala_2003.htm

I have always wondered about those long-dead folks who lived there. Apocalypto answered that question for me. Gibson made the Maya not just carvings upon some random temple, but showed them as wholly alive and real. His portrayal of Tikal was masterful. I love that film.

Schlichter is a fine wordsmith, but I think he is off the mark with his hope of America voting its way out of its current tyrannical downfall. We’re not going to vote our way out of this. There may occasionally be a voting win, for conservative America, but that is not going to rid America of the commie/socialist/fascist ideas entrenched in many Americans’ minds, as the do-gooderness idea these rotten ideologies represent are cloaked in faux-christian ideas that make individuals who adhere to these cultish ideas feel good about themselves.

recall, Trump is not a politician.

While that is true, gwbnyc, and a fact that I thought would be beneficial to America, and it was in small part, but Trump was outmaneuvered by the Deep State, and career politicians hungry for power. Trump’s ideas were American ideas, without a doubt, but he was unable to kill the commie/socialist/fascist idea which has infected America and the world. The idea that commie/socialist/fascist policies are beneficial, the faux-christian angle I mentioned previously, must be killed, around the world, not just in America.

    • Kevin in PA November 29, 2021, 3:33 PM

      Anne,
It is appalling! An indication of how far into the muck this nation has fallen.

I object to the homosexual political lobby usurping the English language. My dictionary states that the word “gay” means – happy, lighthearted, carefree.

The word “gay” has been co-opted by the homosexual political lobby to lessen the impact of what homosexuality truly is.
Instead of using the word “gay” when speaking of homosexuals, why not call it what it really is ?- men who engage in anal sex (as well as other dangerously unhealthy proclivities.) with other men.
Doesn’t sound so benign now, does it?
This is about politics / political power. Understand that. Homosexuals know well how revolting their behavior is to most people and thus they bastardize the language to put a happy face on their acts of perversion.

There are many other acts of perversion associated with homosexuals like, coprophagia.
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coprophagia

I consider all of it a form of mental illness. As a matter of fact, up until 1973, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) had listed homosexuality as a mental illness. Then, in 1973, APA asked all members attending its convention to vote on whether they believed homosexuality to be a mental disorder. 5,854 psychiatrists voted to remove homosexuality from the DSM, and 3,810 to retain it.
      Source: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/hide-and-seek/201509/when-homosexuality-stopped-being-mental-disorder
From the link you can see that this “determination” was not a medical consensus, but popular vote. That’s political. The DSM now lists homosexuality as a “sexual orientation disturbance”.

And are you aware of the political lobbying group NAMBLA? I’m going to surmise that you are not.
      Here is a link; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_Man/Boy_Love_Association
It is my opinion that anyone who would advocate corrupting minors for their own sexual pleasure is an unredeemable pervert and deserves jail time.

Are you aware that the highest incidence of pedophilia occur among homosexual men?
“What do Anderson Cooper, Don Lemon, George Takei and Milo Yiannopoulos have in common? They are all out and proud gay men, and they were all sexually abused as underage minors. “
I encourage you to explore this thorough read on the topic: https://stream.org/yes-childhood-sexual-abuse-often-contribute-homosexuality/

The homosexual arm of the Republican Party – Log Cabin Republicans has shared a video from one Chadwick Moore (a homosexual Republican activist) While they promote the notion that “gay” is normal and now accepted, they also do point out that the political lobbying group known as Gay Inc. is a radical leftist political organization that received many millions of dollars in donations for their cause.
      https://getoutspoken.com/gay-inc/chadwick-moore-exposes-the-truth-about-gay-inc

And what is their cause, you may ask?
The radical leftist agenda rooted in communism. It entails the destruction of the traditional family, anti-Christian activism, promoting the LGBTQXYZ agenda in the political sphere.

      And now this:
      https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/investigations/2020/11/16/boy-scouts-face-nearly-90-000-sex-abuse-claims-bankruptcy-case/6284153002/
Nearly 90,000 file sexual abuse claims against the Boy Scouts in unprecedented case.
The radical homosexual lobby demanded that they not “suffer discrimination based on their sexual preference”. They demanded this against the protestations of many parents. They demanded and they got their way. Is anyone surprised at the outcome? At the time they won their “victory” I was appalled and said it won’t end well. I was called prejudiced and a “homophobe”.

      And;
This is where it leads, because homosexuals can not reproduce as heterosexuals (procreation). So, they must increase their numbers through lies, propaganda and indoctrination.
      https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2021/11/fairfax_county_public_schools_gives_parents_the_doublebarreled_middle_finger.html

So, I hold no hatred of mentally ill people, homosexuals included, but I refuse to embrace and celebrate perversion. I prefer to not associate with perverts, because I do not trust them. I firmly believe that the world was a better place when the perverts were in the closet. I am disgusted and offended at the celebration of this lifestyle. I refuse to accept perversion as normal and I will speak my mind without shame for my beliefs.

Contrast that with Denninger’s claim that covid is passed through airborne microscopic fecal matter. Walking behind a fag is a dangerous place to be.

Brief story about Blake, sort of.
William Bolcom set the Songs of Innocence and Experience to music.
My ex-wife was in the St. Louis Symphony Chorus in the late 80’s/early 90’s when they did the (St. Louis) premiere. And maybe at Carnegie Hall; I don’t remember what their programs were for that tour.
I remember sitting in the audience in St. Louis, reading the program where they talked about the song The Little Black Boy. The program notes heavily apologized for the use of “Black”, and went on to describe that poem using the term “African-American”.
About a poem written about actual Africans, by an Englishman. Zero relationship to American, at all.

    Liberals are brain-damaged.
