Strange Daze: Hey kids, what time is it?

An Irving Penn Portrait for the Coldest Days of Winter: “Peter and Dagmar Freuchen” Freuchen, who was born in 1886, in Denmark, quit school, at the age of twenty, to sail to Greenland, as a stoker on a steamship, after seeing a student play about polar exploration and realizing that it was his life’s calling. He spent the next three decades living in and exploring some of the coldest parts of the world. According to his many memoirs and journals (he wrote more than a dozen!), he encountered death at almost every turn. He was trapped for several days in an avalanche. A camp cook almost shot him, thinking he was a bear. He fell through a hole in fetid sea ice and had to have a team of sled dogs pull him out. He stabbed his own thigh with a harpoon as he climbed down a glacier using ropes made out of sealskin, and he got trapped in a snow cave because the warmth from his breath formed an impassable crust on the opening. In order to escape from the snow cave, he fashioned a chisel that he sometimes described as having been made from his own frozen feces. While he was stuck, whittling away at the ice, one of his feet froze so severely that he was forced to amputate several of his own toes. Later, he lost the foot entirely.

No bullets? No worries. It’s just Canada. Truck carrying more than 2,000 firearms stolen in Peterborough, Ont.: police | CTV News Police said they believe the truck hauling more than 2,000 firearms was taken from the yard at around 3 a.m. “Officers attended the scene and canvassed the area,” police said. “It’s believed there is no ammunition on the truck.”

In a world where Germany and Russia are friends and trading partners, there is no need for US military bases, no need for expensive US-made weapons and missile systems, and no need for NATO. There’s also no need to transact energy deals in US Dollars or to stockpile US Treasuries to balance accounts. Transactions between business partners can be conducted in their own currencies which is bound to precipitate a sharp decline in the value of the dollar and a dramatic shift in economic power. This is why the Biden administration opposes Nord Stream. It’s not just a pipeline, it’s a window into the future; a future in which Europe and Asia are drawn closer together into a massive free trade zone that increases their mutual power and prosperity while leaving the US on the outside looking in.

Moviepass, the now-defunct service that was supposed to allow users to watch movies inexpensively, has pivoted ever-so-slightly into the business of being an Orwellian advertisement machine. The service is “returning as an app that will track users’ eyes when they watch adverts”, according to an alarming new report from The Independent. In exchange for your computer-verified undivided attention, the app will let users have access to movies.  Moviepass now will use facial recognition and “eye-tracking technology” to “ensure that viewers’ eyes are looking at promoted content in exchange for access to films”.

Is it safe to raise my child vegan or vegetarian? But those children were also, on average, about 1.2 inches shorter than non-vegans of the same age, had some vitamin deficiencies, and measured at about 5 percent lower bone mineral content.

Lehmann and the Observation Car Zeppelin Sub-Cloud or Spy Basket: The Ultimate Secret – I did not see the preparations, but they must have been bungled somewhere. When the airship had reached a sufficient height Strasser got into the little car and gave the signal which would lower it a half-mile below the ship. About 300 feet down, while the winch was allowing the cable to unwind slowly but steadily, the tail of the car became entangled with the wireless aerial. It caught the car and tilted it upside down. The cable meanwhile continued unwinding from the winch above and was beginning to dangle in a slack loop below Strasser, who only saved himself from being tipped out by clinging to the sides of the car with a deathlike grip. Suddenly the aerial gave way, sending the car and Strasser plunging down until it brought up at the end of its own cable with a sickening jolt. It was not a propitious introduction for the new device.

The American media has brought down the cone of silence. Drudge has a government-issued warning to Canada at the top. The New York Times and Washington Post are busy peddling their latest Russia fantasies. Soviet media was more informative than the American media is now. If you want to know anything about anything you have to dig around in Substack and independent sites. The American media is now a blanket of darkness thrown over the public square.

The other thing that comes to mind is how blatant authoritarianism is now. I see the Canadian dictator just ordered the funds for the truckers frozen. He just made up some new rule apparently or his handlers did. Trudeau is most likely illiterate, so he has to rely on others to do these things. The US government is flying surveillance aircraft over the protest to intercept communications. They will then “share” this intel with their “partners” in the Canadian secret police.

NBC Pulls Dr. Dre And Snoop Dogg From Halftime Show After Finding Recordings Of Them Using The N-Word | “We were stunned when these tapes were brought to our attention,” said NBC executive Gil McFasterson. “Snoop and Dre were caught openly throwing this disgusting, offensive term back and forth, referring to each other as ‘my N*****’, and to themselves as ‘two loc’ed out N*****s.’ We even learned that Dr. Dre was once in a music group called N.W.A., which he told us stood for ‘Nerds With Attitude.’ Turns out that was a lie.”

This is the Canadian version of Biden’s disgraceful memo instructing the FBI to investigate parents who show up to complain at school board meetings. Trudeau and Freeland have criminalized grassroots, peaceful political activism. +++

Getting SWAT’ed at 3:00 AM, with your door being broken down, won’t be very far behind. And most thought it could never happen here.

      1) that was Garland’s memo to the NSBA to Biden to Garland.

      2) let’s not forget Stone’s FBI wake up call with the press attending.

” let’s not forget Stone’s FBI wake up call with the press attending.”

Neither should we forget the recent FBI per-dawn raid on the home of James O’Keefe from Project Veritas and that the NY Times had foreknowledge.

      Lavrentiy Beria

      We have arrived.

      • Mike Austin February 15, 2022, 10:09 AM

True. On with the show. Now for the rest of the story:

That very statement was applied to Beria himself after Stalin died. He was shot in the head by a cabal led by Khrushchev (1953). Beria got on his knees and cried while pleading for his life. His executioner laughed and pulled the trigger. Beria had a Biden-esque quality about him, in that he “enjoyed” the company of young girls.

        • Kevin in PA February 15, 2022, 12:42 PM

It is a bit humorous that thugs who brutally executed fellow human beings with abandon should resort to pleading and sniveling when faced with the same end.

No need for military bases if Russia and Germany are trading partners? Well maybe. They were trading partners before, in the 1930s. There was an Austrian involved and a Georgian involved. They both had moustaches. But here is a better idea: Abandon NATO. It has no value. If the Europeans wish to attempt another suicidal war, let ’em. What, me worry?

So many in “contemporary” Christianity think that being “nice” is the most important thing on earth. No one—but no one—would ever accuse me of such a mentality. I still mourn for the autos-da-fé that once brightened European skies and buttressed European souls. And I yearn for Inquisitions. The burnings and the Inquisitions existed because people then were serious about Christianity. It was better for your body to burn on earth for 30 minutes than for your soul to burn in Hell for all Eternity. And let’s not have any baby talk about how we moderns don’t burn people at the stake anymore because we are so compassionate. Of course we burn people to death. Ask Ted Bundy.

“Is it safe to raise my child vegan or vegetarian?” No. Next question?

“We need to build millions of concrete cells to house the homeless.” Ok, you can call it that if you wish. I would have a better use for them once things become “entertaining” in the US.

The media have always worked for the regime. We just didn’t know it then. We know it now. The power and influence they once had is gone with the wind. But they still try, bless their black hearts. I wonder how they will enjoy their concrete cells?

Shocking! A Muslim mob stones a Muslim to death! As far as I’m concerned that’s good news. Keep at it guys!

Hillary in trouble? No need for that Botoxed beast to worry. She will only get her just deserts when she leaves this earth. I know it, you know it, Trump knows it, Hillary knows it. So stop with the headlines already.

    • gw February 15, 2022, 6:31 PM

“Abandon NATO. It has no value. If the Europeans wish to attempt another suicidal war, let ’em.” A good idea that will probably not be debated broadly in our lifetimes.

NATO gives the U.S. license to continue to be the “policeman” for much the world. We can start or threaten conflicts anytime NATO members (or “partners” like Ukraine) are in jeopardy, for government self-interest.

Defense suppliers love it for obvious reasons and remind our venerable elected Congress as needed.

The Europeans love it because they have defense insurance largely at our expense.

The Chinese love it because it keeps us tied up defending Europe.

And, who knows, Joe might even get Vlad to trade Hunter’s other lost laptop for the Donbas.

      • Mike Austin February 15, 2022, 6:47 PM

Excellent observations. I would also get rid of the UN and every multilateral treaty the US has signed, including NAFTA and the World Bank. And close the borders. And expel all foreigners. And stop all immigration. And dismantle the State Department. One can dream…

It would take a Caesar to accomplish this. But I’d settle for a Charlemagne. Or maybe a Tony “Joe Batters” Accardo. But we’ll probably get some cut-rate Napoleon wannabe.

    • John Venlet February 16, 2022, 6:33 AM

I still mourn for the autos-da-fé that once brightened European skies and buttressed European souls. And I yearn for Inquisitions. The burnings and the Inquisitions existed because people then were serious about Christianity.

      Mike, you’re speaking facetiously, right?

Interesting times we live in and who knows what’ll happen next? But I would love to see our leaders and our media and those in Canada receive a Bastille-ish experience. The vast majority of them deserve it in spades, they’re begging for it and generous soul that I am, I always believe in giving these MF’s exactly what they’re begging for. Along with their families and their supporters.

  • Mike Austin February 15, 2022, 1:28 PM

“Along with their families and their supporters.” True that. This game is zero-sum. There can be only one winner. They called this conflict down upon our heads, and now they must feel, in Sherman’s words, “The hard hand of war.”

I really enjoyed watching the “mandate protests explode” video above. How great to see such large numbers of conservative citizens in Canada and America stand up so mightily and show the tyrants who is actually in charge.

The ball is rolling, and it’s sure to gain a great deal more momentum, and should inspire even the most hardcore pessimists to realize that we CAN fight and win against unjust rulers and insane laws.

For the gentleman who previously posted “I don’t believe the truckers are capable. They have to eat, and they ain’t making money while parked blowing horns. The gov’t has unlimited funds and the truckers do not. This will end soon, and nothing will be diff.,” I do hope you’ve found new inspiration, confidence, camaraderie, and patriotism from these latest events.

  • FLSTF February 15, 2022, 1:52 PM

That stolen truck containing 2000 guns?
Um, you might want to read this– https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10514955/Freedom-Convoy-leaders-claim-plot-plant-stolen-guns-protesters-Ottawa.html

Normally, I might call “BS” on the opinion in the article, but nowadays not much surprises me any more.

  • KCK February 15, 2022, 2:13 PM

Yes, I saw a YouTube this morning with a former RCMP PM guard, now convoy supporter, saying that the stolen weapons are intended to be planted by agents provocateurs so that there will be a violence false flag when Trudeau goes into Ottowa for the truckers. The first thought I had was why in the hell would you go to a protest unarmed? They’re going to arm you, anyway, and then shoot you.

The link is here, and it is a good update channel:

NATO. Fun to hate, but if there were no NATO, then the individual nations in Europe would need to be better armed, and guess who they’d be fighting? One another, FFS. NATO sucks, but right now it is the deterrence needed to counter Russia. I read the Zero Hedge report, and he makes it sound like the US put those 130,000 Russian troops on the Ukraine border.

Is Putin pulling back, or will he double back and attack? He is a master of the military element called Surprise.

I was watching a Russian propaganda YouTube channel (I think it’s called Caspian Report) where they were briefing on how powerful Poland has become (doubling it’s forces since 2014) and then they put up a nice Europe map, with a great big FUCK YOU arrow going straight through Ukraine, over the northern plains of Europe (tank country), and aimed right at The Hague.

    • ghostsniper February 15, 2022, 2:59 PM

Casey, your gullibility factor on this russia thing is breath taking.
I recently watched with my own eyeballs xidens top 2 dawgz talk about how russias upcoming black swan would play out. The criminality of the US gov’t is beyond estimation. How in the world do you not see this?

      • KCK February 15, 2022, 3:26 PM

Biden is mysteriously intertwined with Ukraine and with Russia. Ukraine: he has a history of corruption there, and he said it himself. Putin: Biden fukn green-lighted Putin’s invasion, should he choose to so it. Biden’s loose lips extend till now when his administration daily says shit like: “they attack on Wednesday”. I agree: Biden is crazier than a turd.

Ohhh, war with Russia is not something either of us want, but isolation isn’t the right tactic. Deterrence is. But, I gather your argument is that there isn’t actually any “us” here. Looking at the Trudeau/Biden duo, I’d have to agree with you. Canada, and us, by extension, are royally fukt in the very near future. There are outcomes where Trudeau’s govt. falls, but barring that, it’s possible that a balloon goes up starting in Ottawa and engulfing the US.

You’re absolutely right our gubmint right now is corrupt. I’m seeing the Durham report fingering Hillary (sorry, there) and in point of fact Obama and Hillary did worse than Watergate by spying on Trump. But then I realized how they’re probably laughing their asses off at the Deep State because when hasn’t the FBI been spying on domestic political enemies?

        • Snakepit Kansas February 18, 2022, 5:12 AM

“crazier than a turd”…I’m stealing that one.

If Hillary goes to jail, I am having a kegger in the street of my HOA. Unfortunately, neither is going to happen.

  • ghostsniper February 15, 2022, 5:39 PM

This criminal assed US gov’t hasn’t just been lying to it’s own citizenry, it has been lying globally for decades at least. Domestically, intelligent people know this and buffer themselves accordingly. The rest, the fodder, who cares?

    Same internationally.

They all know the US politicians and entire gov’t is nothing but a cheap transparent criminal gang and no one takes it seriously. Yes it has a big hammer, so what? It won’t use it cause it knows what will happen if it does. This ain’t Hiroshima any more you know.

A cheap punk can only bluff so long until he’s called out. If the US gov’t gets called out and it shows it’s tranny face it will get it’s ass beat but good. That includes you and me, and we already know about the criminal gov’t and don’t agree with it. More than half the people in the US want to tear politician and gov’t employee asses to smithereens and so do millions of people worldwide. These bloated arrogant politicians don’t know when to quit. They’ll try to drag all of us down with them, and may succeed. Are you ready for that?

    • FLSTF February 16, 2022, 9:37 AM

You might want to reword “criminal assed US gov’t” to read the “criminal assed democrats in US gov’t.”
We do have some hard-working, constitution-protecting conservative politicians in office that shouldn’t be lumped in with idiots like Biden, Pelosi, Lightfoot, etc.

And November may bring us many more.

  • Mike Austin February 15, 2022, 6:56 PM

The US government needs to get its ass beat—and for every American to see it. The sooner that happens the more likely we can begin to build something resembling normalcy.

    • ghostsniper February 16, 2022, 11:05 AM

On this, you and I are in total agreement.
The ass beat needs to be so severe that at least 90% of ALL gov’t employees no longer exist.

  • James ONeil February 16, 2022, 2:29 PM

Call me isolationist but first we need recreate a representative democratic republic here in America before exporting the brand. We need restore our borders before even considering sending troops to protect others. We need purge the commies from our government before blaming Putin for our woes. We need reform our education system before faulting everyone else’s. We need really wake, or isolate, the woke. We need say no to stolen elections. We need honest media, not”fact checkers” censoring all but the party line. We need develop local sources of everything, not let China, et al, hold us hostage for a chip to build an auto. We need tall individuals and small government. We need communication without government controlled bottlenecks. We need an exchange system, monies, not controlled by, nor supported by, nothing but the government’s good word. We need banks answerable only to their customers, not to Washington lords and masters that can direct the freezing our our private funds on a whim. We need a country where a handshake is as good (better than) a written contract.

Time to put our own house in order, perhaps both American continents in order, let those on the other sides of the Atlantic and Pacific do whatever.

The deaths of Crispus Attuck and Ashli Babbitt need be avenged by bringing back an America wherein they can rest in peace.

How do we get there, past the swamp, through the ghettos that were once cities, around the Jersey barrier roadblocks set up at every right turn? I’m not ready to suggest a secular autos-da-fé but we are at a point where we need take and modify Homeland Security’s advice to the people; If you see something,

    do something!
