What is not clear is how this might work in practice – so, the idea is that the Democrat voter comes home, ballot in hand, weeping because there are no blue mailboxes anymore to place his ballot into, and then he walks back inside his house past … his own mailbox? And then he just gives up? He sits at his dinner table, head in hands, sobbing at his inability to figure out how to drop a piece of correspondence into the postal system?

Tom H, I’m a New Mexico boy. I went back to Santa Fe after being away for two decades. The town itself had not changed much, to my eye. It’s always felt like a small town, in the way folks are friendly and welcoming. Outside, there were about ten thousand more houses built in the surrounding hills.
In the Twin Cities, we are still having restaurant openings, as older favorites are dropping out in large numbers. But if downtown is seriously menacing, who will risk the walk from the parking ramp to the theater? You might get two middle aged guys willing to run the bum gauntlet to get to Target Field (assuming they ever allow fans) but they are not going to bring the wife and kids. And the outstate fans, well, they are just done.

I’ve crawled down a torpedo tube, numerous times, while onboard the USS Los Angeles (SSN688). The very first time I ventured in the tube, as part of my submarine qualification process, the torpedomen overseeing the operation, allowed me to get halfway down the tube, and then they shut the hatch. I hate to think McSorley’s is abandoned. I’ve always visited that marvelous pub every time. I don’t visit NYC often, though I was born there, and have been in New Mexico a long long time. But Santa Fe is dead, too. No Santa Fe Opera, no Chamber Music Festival, no Indian Market, no Spanish Market, no restaurants except those squeezed to a sidewalk, no schools, no church, no tourists… that’s for sure… as Mr. Watson has pointed out. Santa Fe has a Democrat mayor and New Mexico a Democrat governor. New Mexico votes Democrat forever. This is a welfare state running neck and neck with Alabama and Mississippi for the position to the bottom of everything. My fellow New Mexico chumps will forever vote for suicide.
Tom H, I’m a New Mexico boy. I went back to Santa Fe after being away for two decades. The town itself had not changed much, to my eye. It’s always felt like a small town, in the way folks are friendly and welcoming. Outside, there were about ten thousand more houses built in the surrounding hills.
In the Twin Cities, we are still having restaurant openings, as older favorites are dropping out in large numbers. But if downtown is seriously menacing, who will risk the walk from the parking ramp to the theater? You might get two middle aged guys willing to run the bum gauntlet to get to Target Field (assuming they ever allow fans) but they are not going to bring the wife and kids. And the outstate fans, well, they are just done.
Goodyear. I”ve bought a number of sets of them over the years. My wife’s armored personnel carrier is currently due for a set of new treads. The one thing I know is that they sure as shit won’t be Goodyear.

I’ve crawled down a torpedo tube, numerous times, while onboard the USS Los Angeles (SSN688). The very first time I ventured in the tube, as part of my submarine qualification process, the torpedomen overseeing the operation, allowed me to get halfway down the tube, and then they shut the hatch. I had a flashlight, so I didn’t freak out, but I wasn’t keen on the experience. Somewhat a rite of passage, I guess.
