Sorry for the WHOIS outage

Once more the need of the Internet Powers That Be to assure themselves that I am not the Great I AM but just a little website stomped all over my site this morning. Things seem to be back to normal now that I have made my sacrifice as required.

If it ain’t one thing it’s another with those people, it’s never ending. They did that to me a couple years ago.

Register.com’s latest irritant started about a year ago for me. Without telling me, they created a series of domains (.net, .org, .biz, etc) based on my original domain which is a .com, on a trial basis. Remember, I never knew of this, until 1 year later when they start sending me threatening emails that they were going to shut me down. My son in Fla handles everything to do with my website so I had him investigate what was wrong. Turns out that there was nothing to do on my end if I didn’t want those optional domains, which I didn’t. But that didn’t stop register from continuing to bombard me DAILY with threatening emails. One of these days….

Renewing SSL certificates. Verifying e-mail addresses. Updating and renewing plug-ins. This BS just keeps getting more annoying. If you pay for multi-year renewals, at least you can cut down on some of the annual subscription nonsense.

I was worried that “THEY” had come for American Digest, and were holding you (a la Jan. 6) in some undisclosed location for questioning the narrative. Of course, the commenters would be next in line for the 3:00 am knock on the door. I was about to hide the peyote plants in the neighbors’ yard, just to be safe.

My thoughts as well. Still, that 3 am knock on the door remains on the table. Paranoia is not my attitude, it is my way of life.

I am fully prepared in mind, body, and the Holy Spirit for such a knock.

Don’t know about that, but if you are going to go, you should not go cheap.

I, too, am glad all is well. Had me a bit nervous.
