The Ancien Régime**

The tumbrils creak and rumble on
Upon the road of Slate,
Retracing rutted Years of sand
Whose distance Storms debate.

Its passengers stand fixed as stone
While faces cheer from Snow.
The blade awaits its midday meal,
When Above becomes Below.

Innovations carved from clouds
Give despair and dance New measures.
The blade reflects its evening meal
When kings slake peasants’ pleasures.

Arrived at Hope they gaze towards mist
Where granite horses roam.
Their schedules as fixed as Dark.
Their future — White as bone.

The Head within the Basket sees
Vast Parliaments of Sky.
Its ears hear but the fading surf
Where the past gone Years reply.

** The Ancien Régime was the monarchic, aristocratic, social and political system established in the Kingdom of France from approximately the 15th century until the latter part of the 18th century (“early modern France”) under the late Valois and Bourbon dynasties. The term is occasionally used to refer to the similar feudal social and political order of the time elsewhere in Europe. The administrative and social structures of the Ancien Régime were the result of years of state-building, legislative acts (like the Ordinance of Villers-Cotterêts), internal conflicts, and civil wars, but they remained a confusing patchwork of local privilege and historic differences until the French Revolution ended the system.

Instead of peasant children being murdered by speeding carriages transporting the aristocracy, we have children being offered up as sacrifices to the teachers’ unions and ruling caste.

Even if we could stop the damage being done right now, we’d have an enormous task of de-programming these kids ahead of us. And of course, nothing to date has impeded the relentless assault being perpetrated against this country’s children, so this essential task becomes all the more formidable.

There was a time when I thought that, if the children were being adversely affected by any program – at any level – there would arise a tremendous hue and cry. Well, like so much that has come to pass since the new millennium was ushered in, I’ve been wrong. Appears there isn’t anything the Sheeple won’t accept under the auspices of the New Normal.

Moreover, even if a modern-day Robespierre were to emerge; to what end? We proles were reminded a couple of weeks ago that the Ancien Regime is protected by “The guys with the guns.”

I’ll be partially satisfied when I get to nail Tater Stelter and Lemon-AID’s nasty hides to the side of the barn for target practice.

@Richard, for at least 30 years now parents have been relying on the public indoctrination system as their free daycare center for all the kids they can’t stand to be around but wail like banshees that they “would do anything for my kids”. In that time period I have asked hundreds of parents why they send their kids to these places and the overwhelming answer has been, “Well, it was good enough for me and I turned out OK.” Proof, that idiocy begets idiocy.

There’s only one way out for sane people, and that means a great culling must occur. I expect at least 90 million will be gone in the first 6 months. The burn off will be glorious.

Back in another life I had to teach “A Tale of Two Cities” every semester for years. Whatever the “crimes” the aristocracy committed, I cannot fathom the horror of being a victim of “The Terror”.
But in this age and time, “the ptb” would do it to “us” in a heartbeat.
On the other hand, if we could put all the “gain of function” scientists in the tumbrils, along with all the architects of the great re-set, I’d be first in line to pull the release on Madame G.

Here’s some gain of function for you. A studious fellow nicknamed “Ice Age Farmer” is announcing the “Next Pandemic” that Bill Gates said will maybe get everyone’s attention. 20 minute video.

Well that video cranked up the b pressure about 20 points. Control the protein, huh? So many new regs (“You can’t buy chicks.”) and “All these birds are diseased” and “You can only buy birds that have ben vaxxed.” What then? 300 million just eat bugs?

        de Tocqueville.
“The democratic tendency… leads men unceasingly to multiply the privileges of the state and to circumscribe the rights of private persons… often sacrificed without regret and almost always violated without remorse… men become less and less attached to private rights just when it is most necessary to retain and defend what little remains of them.”

“When the taste for physical gratifications among them has grown more rapidly than their education . . . the time will come when men are carried away and lose all self-restraint . . . . It is not necessary to do violence to such a people in order to strip them of the rights they enjoy; they themselves willingly loosen their hold. . . . they neglect their chief business which is to remain their own masters.”

“Above this race of men stands an immense and tutelary power, which takes upon itself alone to secure their gratifications and to watch over their fate. That power is absolute, minute, regular, provident, and mild. It would be like the authority of a parent if, like that authority, its object was to prepare men for manhood; but it seeks, on the contrary, to keep them in perpetual childhood: it is well content that the people should rejoice, provided they think of nothing but rejoicing. For their happiness such a government willingly labors, but it chooses to be the sole agent and the only arbiter of that happiness; it provides for their security, foresees and supplies their necessities, facilitates their pleasures, manages their principal concerns, directs their industry, regulates the descent of property, and subdivides their inheritances: what remains, but to spare them all the care of thinking and all the trouble of living?

Thus it every day renders the exercise of the free agency of man less useful and less frequent; it circumscribes the will within a narrower range and gradually robs a man of all the uses of himself. The principle of equality has prepared men for these things;it has predisposed men to endure them and often to look on them as benefits.

After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd.”
― Alexis de Tocqueville 1805-1859, Democracy in America

Yeah, I think it’s way past time.

I’m a quote junkie, Lance. Thanks for the words… just added them to my extensive file.

Saw hundreds of chicks of all variety’s for sale at Rural King the other day.
We have a small spot out beyond the pool that will be adequate for a small flock, maybe 50 birds.
Tonight I’m going to investigate some ideas on how to build a chicken tractor.

In a letter written by Madison to Jefferson re; the Shay’s Rebellion, Madison expressed concern that these rebellions could be the ruin the republic. Jefferson responded that “the tree of liberty should be refreshed with the blood of tyrants and patriots” from time to time. Madison queried further as to how often this watering should take place. To which Jefferson responded -“about every twenty years or so.”

Perhaps the tree is long overdue for a watering.

I think I heard that the FBI and NSA are hiring. But I don’t think it will work. They will probably, scratch that, they probably already have added many, many computers all programed to listen and watch all the millions of American citizens starting to talk and write about their distrust, nay disgust of this Administration.
I’d like to know how much of a strain of their resources it was to round up the five hundred citizens they have in their hands now.
At some point soon, prisons won’t hold them. Have they started building camps yet?

Joe Biden is sitting in a corner whispering “I have Nukes….”

  • Andy Texan July 30, 2021, 8:08 PM

Let the tumbrils rolls again in Washington DC. The lists of enemies of the republic will be very long. People will want to savor the moment.

  • H (science denier) July 31, 2021, 6:09 AM

The NSA is indeed hiring. To apply, just call anybody.

The Biden demented whispering is really, really starting to creep me out.

That just means they are taking it underground, no longer available for public consumption, but it’s function will remain the same. You’ll just no longer hear about it and thus, no longer complain about it. The gov’t NEVER downsizes….until it is totally in flames.

    • John A. Fleming May 18, 2022, 3:19 PM

Yahh, about that, I’m with GS. That beast was to provide cover for taking down content that the politicians and deep state didn’t like. All the socials would say, “well, if the highly authoritativeMinitru says it mis/dis/fake, that’s plenty good for us.

In a rational world, since the gov is just some guys we hire to do some dirty jobs for us, no one would consider anything the government denizens say to be more authoritative than dirt. There is no penalty to lie to the people, and no incentive to tell the truth of things, and the people we hire are in the main not that smart about anything except how to acquire and retain power.

Since the US govmt has no power granted to it by We the People to regulate speech, their intent was to get the private enterprise socials to do it for them.

The speech terminator was set back just a little, but it will not stop, ever.

I’m thinking that Bumble head hired the Jankybitch figuring she was going to wade in and be the bouncer for the entire internet. Turns out the internet was a rougher dive than she thought. As soon as she walked in, the local trolls pulled her pants down, gave her a good spanking, and tossed her out into the street naked. The humiliation is exquisite. I hope she carries it to her grave.
