Something Wonderful: Trump and the Team

From Tigers at the White House on Power Line

The national champion LSU Tigers–I would say, the unbelievably talented LSU Tigers–visited the White House on Friday. Star wide receiver JaMarr Chase tweeted this; I know about it because it is all over Twitter, with 104,000 likes and 22,000 retweets, and one of my daughters pointed it out:

I think President Trump will do shockingly well with black voters in November–shocking, that is, to people who haven’t been paying attention and only listen to ethnic “leaders.” Trump’s policies have delivered for African-Americans in a way we haven’t seen since the Reagan administration, and Trump personally relates well to blacks. I hope he will work hard to solidify that advantage over the next ten month

    If he increases his share 50% he’ll gain 4% of that vote, but he’ll get more than that from a depressed turnout, depressed by a fag or a hag or a corpse. Oh, and that Virginia 2A bullshit storm will provoke turnout of the very people they plan to disbar from voting in the future.
    But really, this is the last election that will matter, if it does matter. I will stand in a line of illegals and legal Spanish who will vote in a Spanish ballot. It is better to remove the veneer of elections than legitimize their grift with participation.

    I’ll be cutting X’s in the tips of bullets.

    You guys are depressing. I’ll be wandering around with a lantern, looking for a honest man and election, casting my ballot for whomever I perceive to be the better candidate, hoping that voting is better than defeatism or indifference or hot air, praying for a peaceful transfer or continuation of power. Maybe our choices are predetermined, maybe there’s grift and graft (more like most definitely, now that I think about it), maybe demographics is destiny, maybe it’s an exercise in futility and our republic is doomed to fail-if it hasn’t already. But nobody has a crystal ball. Trump’s election has made a difference, even if only to put the brakes on for a little while. What else can a person do if he won’t vote? Let these words inspire you:

    Some say we are past reform, but I believe greatness can come again. Seriously.

    If anything, Trump’s election in 2016 confirms that no one has a crystal ball.

    “…hoping that voting…”
    =============
    It’s always disappointing to reminded that some are still under the influence.

    GS, would you prefer Ms. Clinton as Mme. President? We came, we saw, he died? We’d probably already be in a very hot mess in Iran and we could thank all the people whob stayed home. There are slight gradations and variations in candidates.

    Baton Rouge has still not come done from the stratosphere. We’re 15 and Coach O!

    And, we did Get the Gat. In the Oval Office.

    Bunny, turn the telescope around, you’re looking in the wrong end – just like they taught you.
    No matter who you vote for you lose.
    Some find appeasement in imaginary scaling that pretends they are losing less.
    You have far less freedom now than you did in the 19th century and it’s all because votists are lazy and so easily conned. A politician can’t practice it’s crimes unless votists give it permission, that some politicians are less criminal (an ASSumption) than others is irrelevant.

  • Bunny January 20, 2020, 7:14 AM

    Ghost, politicians are obviously quite capable of practicing their crimes without our permission. They do it all the time, and especially notably when their crimes touch on actions completely counter to what was promised during a campaign. Choosing not to vote is also making a choice and does not absolve anyone of responsibility. Who is lazier than a votist? A non-votist. That some politicians are less criminal than others, i.e., better, is irrelevant how? To say “better is irrelevant and no better than worse” is a nonsense statement. So suppose everyone rejects voting and makes clear their massive lack of confidence in the system. What does that accomplish? TPTB will just declare the regime legitimate by some standard other than voting.

  • ghostsniper January 20, 2020, 7:25 AM

    “What does that accomplish?”
    ==============
    Some are INCAPABLE of learning it seems.
    Voting caused all the political problems so obviously more voting will solve them.
    It’s laughable.
    Politicians are criminals and people that choose them to practice their crimes on others are in fact criminals themselves. If there ever is another civil war in this country hopefully a whole lot of people get killed – the ones that think they have the right to impose their will over others because of some criminal notion about voting. I disavow all of this criminal activity and strive to do my best to stay out of the retarded fray while the idiots destroy each other.

  • Bunny January 20, 2020, 8:04 AM

    You can say voting caused all the political problems on that glorious day when we get what we voted for.
    “If there ever is another civil war in this country hopefully a whole lot of people get killed – the ones that think they have the right to impose their will over others because of some criminal notion about voting.”
    That’s nice.
    “I disavow all of this criminal activity and strive to do my best to stay out of the retarded fray while the idiots destroy each other.” No man is an island, good luck with that.

    When a 19 year old Ja’Mall Chase does hip hop w teammates in the Oval Office and says “Trump will do shockingly well w back voters”, you gotta listen.
